Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good start, poor finish Purchased the knuckle lights about six weeks ago, used them for 1.0 to 1.5 hours a week. On two separate occasions they prevented me from stepping on fallen tree limbs after a storm the night before. Brightness and feel were excellent. After 4-5 weeks noticed that the lights were starting to dim. Installed a set of rechargeable batteries. Worked good for about another week. Thought the rechargeable batteries might be going bad. Installed fresh new batteries and 1 of the knuckle lights wouldn't even come on. Also heard a "rattling" sound in the broken light. The only other negative thing I noticed about the lights was condensation forming inside the lens on really humid mornings. Enjoyed them while they lasted, but as most athletes will attest, it doesn't matter how well you start, it matters how you finish. Approximately 9 hours of use for $40 is a very weak finish. Rated 1 out of 5 by Great ...for 15 minutes I bought these as gifts for my running partners. After 15-20 minutes the batteries are dead. Definitely would not have purchased these if I knew I needed new batteries for every run. I thought it was the cheap batteries that came with the lights but after documenting everytime I changed batteries I know its the lights not the batteries. I will try to return if possible. Great idea, just not well executed! March 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Knuckle lights Very pleased with amount of light output even though I usually only use the low beam setting. The lights are not heavy enough or cumbersome to notice while running, and an added bonus is that any upper body twist is noticeable because of where the light beams track. the beam is broad enough to light up the full trail despite the wide part of the light being vertical when held properly on the fingers. The only drawback is that the strobe cycle is way too slow to really be of any use. Very pleased with the lights, especially since now I am comfortable to run in the early morning when it is dark, but the automobile traffic/fumes is minimal. February 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product was great on a dark night. Several runners used the Knuckle Lights on the cloudy, dark night runs on the Ragnar Race to the Keys. We loved how you could turn them sideways to light up more of the road. February 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by See and be seen Good light for streets and trail. I have a good petzl headlamp, but for many situations the knuckle lights are superior. When running on the street, I think the knuckle lights move more and therefore are more visible than a headlamp. On technical trails I have always had an issue with depth perception when using a headlamp. I am not sure why, but this seems to be less of an issue with the knuckle lights. January 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly what I needed! The Knuckle Lights allow me to see where I'm going as well as be seen by on-comers! They are not uncomfortable or too bulky for my hands. Definitely worth the purchase! December 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Every runner needs these Whoever invented these is a genius. If you run, you probably have to run in the dark ones the time change hits - and you need these. I can run on the grass in the dark again with great lighting. Also feel a lot safer with the blinking setting while running on lit streets facing oncoming traffic. No more sore foreheads from headlamps, no more dropping your handheld. I'm gonna go ahead and say every runner needs these. December 2, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Makes me feel safe This product does an excellent job of lighting up the sidewalk in front of me. I usually use the "low" setting, since I run in an area with streetlights. I think it also allows oncoming cars to see me when I'm crossing a driveway (although I can't know what it looks like for sure). The beam is wide, so there is minimal "swinging" effect of the beam in front of me, and minimal distraction. It took a little getting used to, having it on my hands, but it's not that bad. My hands just get a little sweaty under the strap. I am able to hold it while still holding my iPhone. The excess straps flap around a bit, but if you tuck it under itself, it will stay put. I dropped one on the ground, and the batteries popped out, but no other damage. This is a good solution to running in the dark. November 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bright I run early in the morning and these work great. I can see very clearly. October 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for evening trail running My girlfriend and I regularly run the bridle path in Central Park. However, there are quite a large number of loose stones, which can make running at dark dangerous. We've been using the knuckle lights for a handful of evening runs now and really love them! In fact, one light is bright enough to use for both of us. I would definitely recommend this product for trail runners who want to run safely in the early morning or later at night. October 25, 2013
