Rated 1 out of 5 by Highly disappointed First of all, its too big and too heavy.I have tried to disassemble it, shorten it a little but unfortunately there are no instructions on how to do that. This was the only hoops that Dicks had and they suck. I shouldve just ordered from Amazon June 8, 2016

Rated 1 out of 5 by Great exercise, but really poor quality hoop. I really hate that folks rate weighted hoops down because it hurts. ALL weighted hoop hurt when you first start out. The problem is that this specific hoop is of very poor quality. I've purchased 3 other (and much better) hoops from Dick's 3 years ago for me and as gifts and love the one I have. So when I decided to get another one, I went back to Dick's and this was the only brand available. I returned it as defective. The fittings were lose so the hoop was saggy and felt like it was coming apart, and the padding was wimpy. For the price, this should have been a much better quality product. The fellow at the counter refunded the price and was polite. December 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed. Hard to assemble. Salesman was kind enough to assemble it in the store. At home, the hoop opened up, AND the rubber split. Will return to store and seek replacement. Will, reluctantly, give it one more chance. Very discouraging though. And a waste of my time, energy, and effort. But a friend likes hers and sees results. Will try again. November 16, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Working out hurts. I was warned that this may cause bruising, but it is quite painful to work out. I had a hard time putting it together. I still can't get one piece in all the way, it gets stuck. I recommend wearing extra padding or maybe a layer or two. October 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beginner at hooping I bought this yesterday and was surprised to find that I actually needed to use vise grips in order to hold down the metal tabs to put the thing together. It claims you can easily take it apart but I don't see how that can be done. As far as the workout itself, I haven't used a hula hoop since the 1950s so there is a lot of stop and start but on the whole, I think it is easy enough to get it going. I'm glad it is covered in foam because I believe that minimizes the bruising. Everyone I know who is beginning hooping (and I know quite a few people) talk about the bruising when they first start. I assume that is because of the weight of the hoops. It's fun, it does raise my heart rate and when I finish, I definitely feel that I have done some work. Last night I could feel it in my core. There was also some soreness in my lower back but not enough to impair mobility today. I am hoping to reach a point where I can involve music and movement. August 26, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by A Mix of Good, and Bad So I got this product, due to my boyfriend's urging. I got home, went to the basement, and started. After a few minutes I didn't think I was getting any exercise. After a few more minutes I felt my abdominal muscles getting a bit sore. I kept going for a bit, and started to feel satisfied with the product. Next day and my core is sore, I know I got a good workout. But along with the sore core, I'm covered in bruises as well. It's not really comfortable to do. Actually using the item is quite uncomfortable, and I grit my teeth the entire time using it. Today I'm looking at the bruises and shaking my head. But if it continues to work, I'll work through the bruises and get a good workout... Overall it's pretty good, and you certainly feel results with it. February 12, 2014
