Rated 1 out of 5 by Hand Gripper is poorly manufactured I purchased one of the hand griper at Dicks Sporting Goods, after two weeks of use the handles broke in two pieces. Things happen so I purchased a second hand gripper and it broke both handles this time after about two weeks. This product is very unreliable and a waste of money. I tried to find a better hand gripper because I do enjoy the exercise. Unable to find a type I wanted for now I purchased a third unit. This one only lasted1 week before the middle portion fell apart. My recommendation is to have teh product taken off the market because it is not worth the money November 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great until it snaps and breaks I love this hand grip because it is the only one I have found that allows you to build muscle instead of maxing out. Other ones maintain the same resistance throughout but this one seems to offer the most resistance allowing me to be worn out after 100 squeezes....the other ones build definition but this one builds muscle in forearms. I have been through 3 of these....all have suffered the same fate....the break after an undetermined amount of time. I am going to buy another one and will try and see if I can stop holding it too close to the end and focus on gripping it closer to the pivot point. Still the best ones I have found. Even the other ones that have exposed metal....are made of cheap metal and will snap because I have had those snap in two exposing the cheap insides of the metal. January 16, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Faulty product Purchased this Gripper about three weeks ago and within 15 days one of the gripper handles broke. Returned it for a replacement. November 5, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Couldn't stand the hand I'd only been using this pretty casually, but after a few hundred grips to max range of motion, the plastic handle protecting the hand from the spring has broken. If you're a stronger individual, I'd select a more solid or all metal version. Grip strength is still important, so I got a slightly more expensive power ball (gyroscopic). October 23, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by not very ergonomic it doesn t feel comfortable in your hand and is very hard to hold in puts to much pressure on your thumb, would have been better if it was adjustable but it is will give you a workout but your thumb is going to be numb. September 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Junk The cheap plastic handles snapped at the same time. This piece of junk needs to be re-engineered or discontinued. January 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fitness Gear Hand Gripper I have used one or another hand grip for many years - better golf grip, better hold on lacrosse stick, general fitness. I have broken several of the metal wound spring/plastic handle models, probably from metal fatigue. I have another design with a variable number of springs where squeezing parallel handles together in a sliding frame stretches the springs. This tends to rust and stick or get slippery if I lubricate it. I got these because I had some Bonus Cash that was about to expire and I had just read an article that asserted that squeezing hand grips on a daily basis would lower my blood pressure. The size was good for my small hands and the design looked a bit sturdier than the ones that broke from metal fatigue. So far, so good - I haven't broken them and they are sized so that I can start squeezing them without cheating. I will put a reminder in my phone to post another comment after six months of use. Rated 2 out of 5 by The handle broke on the first one. The store replaced with a new oneAnd itIsWorking fine Product gives a good work out but breaks easy. The first one broke and the store replaced it. The new one is working fine. September 10, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap! broke in a month. Handle snapped right off. only thing holding the handle on was the rubber over mold. May 27, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by You get for what you pay Plastic snapped after a couple weeks of use. My skin was pinched and cut when it broke, not fun... Go for one that is better quality, don't waste your money. May 25, 2014
