Rated 5 out of 5áby Liz Down jacket expert I have numerous down jackets from several big name brands. After reading some of the other reviews, I feel like some of the comments need to be addressed. First, I didn't find that this jacket leaked down feathers. Pretty much any down jacket will leak to a certain extent, but I thought the Melia didn't really leak hardly at all. I think the fit and quality are overall very good. It's not as light and compactable as some other brands/models, but the trade-off is that it is warm and down-feather leakage is low. Also, people need to realize that this type of coat isn't going to keep you toasty warm in negative zero windchills. The only way you are going to be warm in subzero temps is to LAYER. This jacket makes an excellent mid-layer. January 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby BusyMommy Marmot Melia - warm & light Being a native New Englander, I have owed just about every type/brand of ski jacket/parka on the market. The Marmot Melia felt absurdly light when I took it out of the packaging, so I was skeptical about the warmth. My daughter and I went ice skating a couple days later and I fell in love with my Marmot Melia! Light weight, great minimal sleek design (no swollen bulky Michelin Man look here ladies), I was absolutely toasty/warm and still was able to function (does not restrict range of motion for sporting). The fit would be a bit box-like if you have a tall slim build (bust/hips). I am a 40 year old Mom with athletic build: 160 lbs 5'2" Size 8/10, 36D and I got an XL - good bust room, plenty of room in abdomen/hip area (go up a size of you don't want jacket to hug your tummy) and the bungee cord comes in handy to adjust fit as needed. Oh, and my 11 year old deemed my Melia as "cool" so I am free to wear it amongst her school friends and teammates (added plus - Moms you can look cool). :) I am a Marmot fan, well worth the $. Rated 4 out of 5áby outgo27 Warm if you're moving around a lot... This jacket is well made, but the Dick's website makes it seem like the "arctic" rating will keep you warm into temps reaching toward zero.. at least that's what I think of for "arctic." However, after wearing this coat when it was 29 F... I can't say it's particularly warm if you're just walking around town. Wearing it while running, climbing, hiking, or doing something active in cold weather, it is good because it is light and as your body heat increases, it keeps you warm without bulk. Just standing around outside or walking through the streets or the parking lot...it doesn't keep me warm unless it's at least above freezing outside, even with a warm sweatshirt or sweater under. For "around the town," it's more a spring/fall jacket or to use as a mid layer with a wind stopper over top during very cold weather. These people who write that it alone is keeping them warm in NE winter... I have no clue how. It was a good price at 40% off, not sure I would pay full price, just because I expect to be warm in low temps for that much money. Size: I got a small. It fits true to size, no looseness or bagginess at all. I am 5'6", 125 lb, 32B. The bottom of the coat is just barely big enough to zip, at first it bothered me but I got used to it, I think it is just cut that way. I thought it would ride up, but it doesn't. It has a drawstring but how anyone could make it tighter, I have no idea. The sleeves are good length. If you want to wear heavy sweaters underneath, then you should order a larger size than usual because it seems to be made to wear only minimal layering underneath. March 18, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5áby Beth Great jacket! Ordered a Med. Bright Berry online, but returned to store to upsize bc it didn't seem to have enough room for layering. Seems to run a bit small unless you like it as a tighter fit. Dick's store called around for the color and size and fortunately only had one. They mailed it directly to my home - no extra cost. Overall, it's a great jacket to wear to the store and running errands. I personally don't think it's a super warm jacket, but warm enough for cooler days outside, not cold. Dick's customer service is very helpful too! March 11, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5áby Heather Stylish and warm! Don't let the lightweight nature of this jacket fool you - it's as warm as it is stylish! I bought this so I didn't have to wear my Marmot ski coat all the time (super duper warm for things like running errands) when out and about, and because I thought it was really cute. I love this jacket. The color is beautiful and the line green accents make it pop. Definitely buy up a size from your regular clothing size as I think it runs a tad small. February 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Warm So warm and light to wear My daughter just loves her coat, she said it is so warm (down) and is light weight, she just loves it, along with the cool berry color. Just wish you had hats to match the coat, you did for the green coats (hats). February 5, 2014
