Rated 5 out of 5 by JW Varible speed is essential in wind! Love being able to dial in just the right amount of thrust to combat the wind on the lake. Great trolling motor. No regrets. April 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jim Endura Max 55 Actually just got back from the lake and think this is an outstanding electric motor. I have a 12 foot wooden boat that I built (picture a jon boat) and it moves this along at an easy pace. My Wife and I really enjoyed the quietness of this motor and it has plenty of power to push this boat where we need it to go. Fishing today was terrible but the ease of operating this motor made for a great day. After 3 hours of fishing and a full power run to the boat ramp the battery was still almost at full charge. The full power run took about 20 minutes into the wind and it did this with no effort at all. This is the main motor and the back up is a paddle. Would prefer not to use the back.... March 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hendrix1 Great trolling motor I have only used this trolling motor once so far, but it has worked flawlessly. Good forward and reverse speeds that propel my 14 foot aluminum boat with ease. So far, so good. July 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Terry88 nice motor I bought the regular 55 thrust Minn Kota Motor, and very unhappy. It was loud, rattley, and very noisy. Not smooth and quiet like the last one I had. So, I took it back to Dicks and upgraded to the Minn Kota Endura Max 55 thrust motor. I was so much happier, nice and quiet, nice and smooth. And Dicks went way out of their way to work with me on the replacement. July 7, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bassanator64 Can't beat this trolling motor for the price I was going to purchase a bigger trolling motor because I was worried about the power but the 55 is powerful enough to move a decked out 14' john boat with my son and I in it. Not sure about how much longer it last yet but was out for 6 hours and still had more charge left June 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by bwallet my fist motor Bought this motor for my mariner 4 raft which I use for fishing. For 2 people (about 500 lbs total) on the raft, it moves pretty fast and last for about 5 hrs. with about 1000 lbs and strong winds it is slows and will take alot more time to get anywhere. Overall for the price, this is a good motor. April 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Phu Love it This is my second Minn Kota. I use this one on a square stern canoe. Sure beats trying to paddle while fishing. July 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by NJHank Awesome Engine Just used my new Endura Max 55 lb thrust trolling motor with the 36" shaft this past weekend on my Sea Eagle 9, 12 foot inflatable motor-mount boat. What a difference between this engine and my old Minn Kota 24 lb thrust model. The engine was super-quiet and the increased thrust was noticeable. I was able to troll around the Manasquan Reservoir, which is a fairly large body of water, all day long. The Digital Maximizer works as advertised. After 8 hours of starting/stopping and trolling, I still had slightly more than 50% of my battery life left at the end of the day as per my deep cycle battery charger. I also loved the fully variable throttle so that I'm not limited to pre-set forward (5) and reverse (3) speeds like I was with my old motor. My only small complaint is the length of the cables that come out of the engine and attach to the battery. I'm sure for most "real" boats the length isn't an issue but due to the distance between the motor-mount on my inflatable and where the battery box sits, I wish either that the cables were slightly longer (no more than 6 inches or so) or, in the alternative, that Minn Kota sold an extension kit. After emailing them, it turns out that they do not but they did provide me with the wire type and gauge so I should be able to make my own extensions. All in all, I couldn't be happier with this engine and would recommend it all day, everyday. June 25, 2014
