Comments about Bell Cocoon Rack Mounted Child Carrier:

It takes some adjusting to get it correct but you talking about the safety of your child. Also for the parent it takes some getting used to the center of gravity change. Even with our child just under the weight it still made cycling no easy. Had to make own adjustment to straps.

Comments about Bell Cocoon Rack Mounted Child Carrier:

I spent hours putting this thing together - horrible instructions and many, many pieces - only to have the absolute last step not work - I couldn't get the seat onto the rack. I'm so frustrated and angry - I wasted a whole day and my 22 month old daughter was in tears because she wanted to ride with me. I will never buy another thing from this company!!!

Comments about Bell Cocoon Rack Mounted Child Carrier:

We got this a two years ago for our 3yr old, its not too bad, actually when we first put it on, it says not to tighten all the screws all the way, until you are finished, we forgot to tighten the ones under the seat, thats why it was leaning, and quite scary. But now that we figured out the problem, its a really great seat, our daughter always wants to go for rides!!

not the best seating
By gouzerVerified Reviewer from Brighton, Mi on 8/15/2008

Comments about Bell Cocoon Rack Mounted Child Carrier:

we use it in our neighborhood, some dirt roads seems to bumpy for the trailer. The room inside is good but the seat itself is hard to adjust to make it tight enough for the kid to sit up. If more than one kid good luck... they keep sliding to the center no matter how tight you pull the straps, so they are mashed together. I would not buy this, too bad I can't return it. Check out the seats when you are shopping with your child.

Comments about Bell Cocoon Rack Mounted Child Carrier:

The assembly/attachment to the bike was fairly simple, other than we had to attach the long lower brackets to the outside instead of the inside like the directions show, and it wouldn't fit my husband's bike. My 19-month-old daughter loves to ride in it, she had to go for a ride as soon as we got it together. My only real complaint is that the shoulder straps fall off no matter what. I don't know if she doesn't have enough shoulders to hold them or what, but I have tried tightening them and unless I make them so she cannot move her arms whatsoever, they still fall off her shoulders.

Comments about Bell Cocoon Rack Mounted Child Carrier:

This seat is great and our 3 year old loves it! I agree with the statement that a movable handle bar would be easier for getting the child in and out. We have never had an issue with side to side movement other than our daughter swiveling from side to side in the seat to see what is around. Ours has an attachment at the seat post and two down to the frame. I use the seat on my mountain bike riding two tracks and nature preserve trails, nothing too extreme.
