Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by love it I bought it a week ago and it came out with great pictures. the pictures came out clear and good quality. Night vision is good too. The only thing is that I need to find the right universal ball joint mount to fit through the slot. It didn't fit through as the screw hole is in the way. I really didn't want to use the strap if i need to have it adjusted in the 45 degrees angle. So i need the bracket. June 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best trail camera on the market. This camera is truly phenomenal and takes outstanding videos. April 5, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by horribe camera This camera is horrible!!! The instructions for set up is lacking!! We tried to set the camera up for night time, and the only time the camera would work is during the day. We bought a less expensive Wildgame Innovations camera and find it to be FAR SUPERIOR! Don't waste your money on this camera! You can't even find this model on Moultrie's website, so you are on your own with issues March 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Camera Bought this camera after the new year and have been really impressed with the quality of pictures and the trigger speed is very quick as well! February 23, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Trash No online support, not even listed on Moultrie's website. Grainy pics, video is pretty bad too, esp at night, don't know where the demo video came from, but it wasn't from this camera. Good battery life so far. Don't know what I can do to fine tune the stills, already have it set on highest setting and fast freeze. Save your money and buy something with better ratings. Also seems to take a lot of pictures of squirrels and songbirds THOUSANDS of pictures, but Turkeys walk right through? Don't understand this, maybe it's a bird watching camera? February 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good but not the best This is a good camera but not the best lots of high quality features . Battery life is good and will last a couple months if it is warm or in cooler temps like fall and spring and it's not taking over 1000 pics a night because I had it out in 25 degrees f and taking 1000 pics a day and it would only last 2 days then it would die . Also not completely invisible can still see LEDs out to 8 feet . Over all it's a good cam but if you want the best get the covert mp6 black out its completely invisible even if u stand right in front of it and flash on it is just as good if not better as this cam . This Moultrie when it takes night pics the flash is all over the place some times lights up the night some times 3 feet . Lastly the covert mp6 black out has such good battery life it's not even funny . January 19, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't Waste Your Money I wish I had read reviews for this camera before purchase. The only time I got pictures at night was with the cover open and then they were not particularly good. Lots of pictures of nothing because of the sensitivity. I wasted an hour today trying to change some settings from the defaults - particularly the exposure time and interval settings. Good luck! The manual does not correspond to the menu selections - among other things. I have 8 Lithium batteries that will be recycled to other gadgets when I take this product back tomorrow. I have another camera 6-7 years old that was cheap and takes far superior pictures, day and night! December 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by A Great Camera I recently purchased the Moultrie D 900 I trail camera after reading the manual and setting the camera up in my back yard over a bait pile of corn 17 ft from the camera, I got 168 photos with the camera set at 30 second delay between photos needless to say I was very pleased with the results and the best part all photos were very sharp and clear. Another plus was no false triggering or ghost pictures there was a deer in every picture taken, admittedly most of the deer were the same 10 or so deer that hang around my house but at least there were no false photos. The next day I decided to try a test of the trigger speed of the camera at different distances. I measured off 50 ft. in 10 ft. increments and decided that I would walk in front of the camera at a normal pace going both left and right, I then ran back and forth in front of the camera at a fairly good jog for a 65 year old. I repeated this test at each of the marked distances. The only no photos were at 10 feet when I ran back and forth in front of the camera. The camera got me at all of the other measured distances, both walking and running. The photos at 50 yds. were sharp enough to easily determine if a deer was a buck or a doe. I was impressed enough that I measured of 60 and 70 feet and repeated the test, the results were the same the camera got me easily at both 60 and 70 ft. The test was done in the bright sunshine so dont expect these type of results at night. The only problem I could find was at close range on a fast moving target. The 10 megapixel really makes a difference in clarity over 5 megapixel camera which I also have. I would easily reccomend this camera. December 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid Camera, just bought my second. I've been very pleased with this camera and bought a second one recently. Easy to set up. Great daytime pics and decent night time pics. (I think that's standard). Play with a combination of burst mode and delay between triggers to figure out what works best for me. At 4 shot burst with a 10 second delay I ended up with 5,000 pictures over 4 days and still had 60% battery life. I dropped the burst to 3 and changed the trigger time to 30 seconds and found a happy medium. Only reason I took off 1 star was that sometimes at dawn and dusk, the camera takes a standard picture when it should still be in infrared. It may be user error in this particular location as there is a well lighted field through the trees which could throw it off? But because it jumped between standard and IR even though I had some useless photos, I still got pictures in that time frame. November 1, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to use. The camera in general is very good. I expected the quality of the 10 mp images to be much better. They are still grainy and difficult to view. August 22, 2013
