Nishiki Adult Oswego 70 oz. Hydration Pack 3.5 5 4 4
Leaky, Hose comes out, Bag Sealer Awkward, No manual I've run 10 miles with this product, Here are my thoughts: 1) Droplets of water periodically onto my chest from the bite valve. Very distracting 2) A small quantity of water seems to be wetting the bag, from somewhere. 3) The bag sealer is very awkward a large amount of force is needed to slip the closure over the zip-lock sealer. This seems destructive to the bladder. You almost need two people, one to hold the bag, one to pull the closure. Seems like design problems here. 4) The farther I run, the more the hose comically seems to push out from the bag. Because the hose is clipped fast in front, the hose makes a tall arc between the top of the bag and the clip point. It looks like a military-sat-phone aerial flopping around way up in the air. 5) Thinking that I must be overlooking something about bag closer, and erectile hose issue, I looked online for a manual to see what I might be doing wrong. I couldn't find one (in 15 minutes of trying) and the Nishiki site is not available in English? October 8, 2014
valve leakage i like everything about this product other than the bite valve, it cracked behind the bite part and leaks constantly, If i could buy replacement parts i would probably give it a 5 star rating, but since i cant find replacement parts and have to try and adapt camelpak parts to it to make it work again it gets a 3. what i really liked about this bag was how comfortable it was and how easy to fill it was. you could easily fill it with your drink of choice and a bag of ice to keep it cold. Its low profile and straps on tight. Needs to have replacement parts... May 3, 2014

Good minimalist pack, but broke down on me I received this hydration as a gift a few months ago. I have used it for a 9 mile hike once, and it performed great, had no problems with it. It is good for someone who does not need too much space other than a phone, your water, a snack and maybe a jacket or something in the bungee cords. However, about three weeks after receiving it, I was using it at track practice and the bite valve began to leak at times, especially after you bit down on the valve too hard. It usually could be remedied with pushing back the valve into the tube temporarily, but now I am probably going to keep the pack but replace the hydration system with something of higher quality. I would not recommend it for this reason, but it may be my fault. I would recommend buying a hydration pack and system of a little higher quality. May 15, 2013
