Does the job Bought this bottle for my son to use in his first year of cross country. He said it works great, but has 2 complaints...it heats up quickly even if you put really cold water in it....without ice, it is room tempurature by the time he is done running 2 miles and if is 90 degrees out, that isn't very refreshing. Also, the plastic taste of the bottle gets into the water and he says it tastes like chemicals which isn't pleasant. Maybe over time the plastic taste will go away. He has had it about 3 weeks now. The bottle itself works great though and he loves being able to carry it with him and with the strap he doesn't have to waste a lot of energy or focus trying to hold onto an awkward water bottle. If you don't mind the taste and warm water, and just want something wet on short runs, this will work fine for you. September 17, 2013
Not as annoying as you think! Bought this while training for my first half marathon, during which I realized that eight miles with no water was too far. The belt things seemed like overkill, as did the Camelbaks. I was dubious about throwing myself off balance with water strapped to one hand... but it was perfect! Threw some ice cubes in there to keep cool for a couple miles longer. Holds just enough to keep you hydrated while staying light enough that you don't really notice. And you don't have to put any effort into hanging onto it - your hand can be totally relaxed and it won't go anywhere. Good buy. September 10, 2013
