Rated 2 out of 5 by KB Not What I Expected
I purchased this camera because a friend of mine had a Blade 7 IR camera that seemed to work well. This Blade 5 IR "Lightsout" version does not. Daytime pictures seemed ok. Night pictures of a standing subject were very grainy. If the subject was moving, the pictures were very grainy and very blurred. On a new setup of the camera, the first picture will make a noise. Seems to be quiet after that..?? The setup grid is small to read but useable. Dicks excepted my return to the store for full refund with no problem. Smashed package and all. Thanks Dicks, it is appreciated. My next camera will be a Moultrie.

This was my first Wildgame Innovations cam. The Lightsout 5mp was a big mistake. Despite using all settings possible, it has... low sensitivity, slow trigger speed, very short night vision and all pics with any motion of the subject is blurred. I would not recommend this model. I am in the process of returning it an getting a better Trail cam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PB Best for the Money
I have used several different cameras over the past few years. Three different brands to be exact and they are popular brands. You read a lot of reviews and there are pros and cons to all cameras. I liked what I read about the Wildgame Blackout camera and for the price ($99 each and I had a $20 dollar coupon) I took a chance and bought 2. All I can say is WOW. Picture and Video are right up there with some of my more expensive cameras. The night video is actually better and everything advertised with this camera has been true. I knew the little Bunge cords were an issue but I quickly replaced. Only negative is the small display and I can live with that in that once set the battery life is great and its just go pull cards when needed. I will be getting more of these to replace my other cameras.

Daytime camera is great. Night camera is grainy, but acceptable. If night pictures were better, I would give it 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by scorpio1057 Good Camera Setup Instructions Need Work
The camera works as described and apparently very well, however, getting to that point is a bit of a struggle. The setup instructions don't adequately describe what you should see on the camera display, and after some trial and error you finally reach an "ah ha" moment when the instructions finally click and you realize what they were trying to say. Overall I am very pleased with the Flex mode and the quality of the pictures. I haven't tried video yet.

I like it, it takes great pictures although the screen is hard to read because of the small letters the camera was simple to use and easy to set up
