Rated 4 out of 5 by Wait what? So I went to Dick's and saw Spyder Women's Conduct Core Sweater Gloves. They were only available in white, and in women's M, but I saw that they have black XS on their site available. I took a picture of the tag, went home, googled the exact name that was on the tag, and ordered Spyder Women's Conduct Core Sweater Gloves in Black, size XS from Dick's website approximately 2 weeks ago. It's interesting, because the one I saw in the store, in white, and the one I received in the mail, in black, are two different makes, although according to the tags they bear the same name. The white one is thicker, while the black one is more of a fall gear. I saw that the reviews on the site have mixed ratings, some say these gloves leave their hands freezing, and some say they keep the hands warm. Comparing the two, I can recall that the white one was definitely warmer, after a few minutes in the store I had to take them off because my hands started to get too warm. The black one, on the other hand, is definitely thinner, made of different material, and in January, in Upstate NY, it's definitely not sufficient to be used outside. I tried to show the thickness of the black gloves on the image. I feel both gloves are quality, just not for the same environment. The black one will be perfect for biking in October. The white one should do well in snow. Both are conductive (work with touch screens), and both's design please the eye. I give it a 4 in quality, because the thread is unraveling at the seams. I do recommend this product, but I suggest you check out the exact model in the store before ordering online. February 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst gloves ever! I bought these for my daughter's first time cross country skiing and after only about 15 minutes she couldn't feel her fingers anymore. They were red and frozen. I switched my gloves with hers and they were truly the worst gloves ever!!!! No warmth at all!!!!!! February 26, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't bother I have $5 gloves that are warmer than these. They should be sold as gardening gloves in a hardware store. Absolute waste of money. January 18, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Do not keep hands warm! These gloves are are huge disappointment as they do not block the wind nor do they keep my hands warm in the cold. I have worn them down to 10 degrees and my fingers felt frozen. And since they don't wick away moisture any time my hands sweat, they freeze. They perform okay in 25-40 degrees with no wind, but so do the $1 drugstore gloves. The touch screen feature is okay if all you want to do is make a call, but apart from that it is useless. Also, they are hand wash only, so it's impossible to really get the perfectly clean. And did I mention that they are bulky to boot? The only good thing I can say about these gloves is that the grips are pretty good. Not worth the money and I wouldn't reccomend to anyone that intends to wear them in the cold. January 5, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Don't keep hands warm Bought these for going to my son's football game and sorry to say they didn't keep my hands warm November 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE! I love Spyder clothing including these wonderful gloves! They look good, keep your hands warm and are comfortable. I have the black, the white with black trim and the hot pink....usually when you say hot pink it a little loud, but this is a really pretty deep hot pink, not flashy. Oh, and they wash beautifully! Rated 1 out of 5 by Look good but pill quickly and don't work on touch screens I like the look and feel of these gloves and they kept my hands warm for everyday use BUT the palm side pilled with just two weeks of everyday wear AND they never worked on my touch screen. Save yourself $5 and try the ones without the "conduct", that's what I'm going to do. November 26, 2014
