Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Wilson staff duo balls are long off the tee. Before you invest in new irons try these balls first. Great feel around the greens also. I'm a 10 handicap and have found these balls to suit all my needs. May 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by the solution I'm 71 years old and need all the help I can get regarding distance. My son teaches golf at a GolfTec store and recently fitted me for a new driver. That alone added 15 yards on average. The new balls added another 10 yards. That's pretty significant progress, considering I didn't have to make any swing changes. Now, I'm making a smoother, somewhat slower swing which permits me to make better contact AND keep the ball flight straighter down the fairway. To me, it's miraculous! All together, my gain can be 20%. I feel better, too. Another plus for me is the yellow color. I'm blind in my (dominant) right eye, so the yellow ball is much easier to track and find. These balls cost much less than the premium models, yet I wouldn't trade them for any other ball! September 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Take the Duo Challenge Since Taylor Made has stopped making the Burner TP LDP, I had to find a new ball. I was not interested in paying $45 bucks a box, but I wanted a ball that was long, straight and performed relatively well around the greens (I am not a big spin player). I was also looking to lower my "ball budget" if possible, as the TM's were around $25-$30 per box. Despite being more of a mid-priced ball guy, who kinda "looked down" on Wilsons, I was pleasantly surprised at the performance of the ball. My adivce to readers: Don't believe the hype about low compression balls not flying as far for fast swingers My driver swing speed is between 105-108mph (250-260 carry 270-280 total), and I had a few drives that rolled out to 300 on faster fairways. This ball rolls a ton with the driver while sticking greens with the short irons and wedges. (less than 1 foot of movement back or forward on full wedge shots). I have shot my lowest 18 hole round (81) with this ball on a moderate slope course (131), and have had several sub-40 scores for 9 holes (blowing-up on the other nine with a 48 or 49). I consider myself to be a bogey golfer..my official handicap is 15 and I normally shoot from 85-95 This is a great substitute ball for those who have to choose a new ball after the extinction of the beloved Burner TP. A little easier on the wallet at $20/box... July 31, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Like Hitting a marshmallow I thought it might go farther with a slower swing speed but it really didn't. It also didn't make the clicking sound coming off the driver that a normal ball makes. They putt pretty good and seem soft around the greens. October 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by great ball Great ball for slower club speeds .... visibility great September 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent ball for slower swingers! The Wilson Duo is the best golf ball I have found for slower swingers that need compression for extra distance and control. I have played these balls for nearly two years and have enjoyed the added benefits. I am a 59 year old 12 handicap. Unbelievable ball for the price! August 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Made my first hole-in-one with this ball. A great ball for me. Compression is 40; most balls are 80 to 100; so it feels soft when hit. It's almost like hitting an old balata ball. I find no sacrifice in distance. I feel I control my swing better with a soft ball; I don't have to swing out of my shoes to hit it solidly. Soft compression does that for me. My swing speed is around 75-80 mph with a driver. That is on the slower side which is probably why a soft compression ball works best for me. May 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good distance, soft feel. Ball preforms well off the tee and around the green. November 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Soft aroud the green This ball is the best I've ever used don't ever stop making them Wilson. I have turned on at least 5 buddies of mine. It is great of the tee and rolls very nice on the green. The new yellow is much easier to see also. Great Ball Thanks Wilson September 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wilson Staff Golf Balls This is a great golf ball for a person of my ability. I have an twelve handicap. It has a soft feel, its great around the greens, and it stops on approach shots to the green. I can also work the ball left or right. I also get great distance with both woods and irons.
