Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by modular kayak just purchased a tandem modular kayak. Took it to the river.Had a great time. easy to transport, easy to set-up. The only problem is the leakage between section's.Is there a gasket or something we can use between the section's? If any one has an answer let me know. Other wise its great fun.Cant wait to try it alone. July 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Convenient and works. I bought this kayak to avoid having to buy a roof rack on top of purchasing a kayak. Also purchased the middle piece to make it a 2 person. It has lived up to my expectations, its not the best kayak but taking into consideration it can be moved around with a car, it is give and take and meets expectations. All three pieces fit into a camry and it takes two minutes to load/unload and not even 5 to put together. It really is easy to do. We are not die hard kayakers, just casual. Water does seep in the kayak as others have mentioned where the cup holder is and there are no drains for it. The kayak does need flat water. If there are waves they come right over the side and fill up where your legs are. So yes you do get wet in this kayak. Overall we are satisfied with the purchase knowing that its true benefit is the convenience of putting it in the car and not being the worlds best kayak. If you are in that position this kayak absolutely gets the job done. July 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for us older folks Certainly meets my requirement for being light enough for a single lady to handle lone. split apart it is light weight and easily moved around. I can lift and carry each half. fit into my SUV so that I don't have to fool round securing it to roof rack. Rode well. My first experience with a top rider but I got the hang of it first time out. don't mind saying that I am close to 70. Pleased with this kayak. Pleasant solution to a lot of issues. August 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is NOT a "too good to be true" Easily fits in the back of the Prius, Couldn't be easier to put together. It is fast per paddle stroke and tracks pretty well. It was getting impossible for me to get a "real" kayak on top of my SUV and this totally solved my problem. Now I can continue to explore Florida's Nature Coast in the best way possible. Rated 5 out of 5 by Ideal kayak for the outdoors enthusiast Stores nicely in the back seat or trunk of most cars, making it a breeze for anyone to use. Snaps together and comes apart quickly. I can have it out of the car and in the water in under 10 minutes, while my friends struggle to untie theirs from the roof. Tracks well, and is stable. I routinely fish from this yak, and have added a rod holder and anchor system (with no complications). The yak has little freeboard, so waves over 2 ft splash over and into the yak, and don't drain out. This is my only complaint--no drain holes (with exception of the cup holder). I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a reliable kayak that stores with ease. July 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome customer service and product We bought our Snap Kayak (double) two weeks ago and can't rave enough about it. It is very easy to snap together. We have enjoyed teaching our almost 11 year old how to kayak in it as well. The company was amazing - sent us replacement straps overnight when they heard ours broke (no fault on them). If you are looking for an easy kayak to travel with and use, this is the one! To make it extra comfy we bought kayak seat pads that are removable. They definitely help on longer rides out on the river. August 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by happy with this luv the kayak, just bought it recently. Except i wish they made it easier to carry. i'm 57 and i havent quite figured out the best way to carry it. I have to take from my house to the back seat of my car, thats doable but then from my car to the lake. the kayak was not designed to carry easily. its hard to grip while i hold it against my leg while i'm walking it to the lake. I need some kind of little thing with wheels so i can pull it around once i get it out of my car. This would be no problem for a man to carry. July 4, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for the get away. Assembles and disassembles quickly, fits in a standard size back seat or large trunk, slides right into a small SUV. On the lake in minutes, no trailer, no roof rack. All you need is a flotation device and a disassemble able set of paddles, July 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by ,Easy for one to handle, in and out of hatch, quick to combined, good handling, fun. If your can't lift much weight to the roof of your vehicle and you can't afford a trailer, this snap on model is a great solution. I can leave it in my Focus hatch and be ready to hit local streams in minutes. Living in the middle of the Niagara River and down stream from Lake Erie, there are plenty of places to paddle..... and I don't need another person's help to make that happen. Very secure and reliable fastening system. Both units are water tight. Will get many hours of fun with this purchase. August 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by like it but could have been designed a little better Love this product because it is easy for me to put in the back seat of my car. i just wish they had designed it with the buckles recessed down another 1/4 inch. my arms scrap them sometimes as I'm rowing - Ouch. And i wish there was some kind of small loop or hole to tie a small rope around, i kayak in a canal and i need to lower it into and out of the water. Actually a couple of handles on each half to help carry would really be awesome too. My point is the design could be improved: they should have consulted a woman when designing this product October 2, 2014
