Rated 5 out of 5 by Kat Brooks glycerin
Brooks glycerin is an excellent shoe. I wish it were the right fit for me. It is wide enough for my wide foot without ordering wide. Wonderful support and cushion. True to size. I wear a 7 1/2 in athletic shoes and 71/2 fits me in the glycerin. The problem is that I need a little extra arch support. When I add additional support, the fit if the shoe changes. If it fits you straight away, buy it! Awesome shoe. I am waiting for the move member release if the new brooks line. Thank you Dicks!

This running shoe is very cushioned in the soles which makes it very comfortable.Just got back to running. The associate in shoe dept ...John D was very knowledgeable in helping me pick out a running shoe ...he suggested I try different brands , explained how the different shoes were made (comfort, support, etc) I settled on the Brooks shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zjemi I love them
a friend recommended Brooks shoes. I like them even better than I did at the store.
And the color is an added bonus. I get cheered up every time I look at my feet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by M Great comfort, too expensive
I run about 1500 miles per year and purchase at least 4 new pair of shoes each year. I've worn Saucony shoes for the last 25 years, because I have extremely high arches and the shoe offered great support. I switched to Brooks this year - for this shoe! The toebox is extremely roomy; I can feel my toes gripping the road on pushoff! The arch support is terrific, but the lacing system is not helpful. With my high arches, I'm fussy about adjusting the lacing. One side of the tongue is sewn down, so there's no adjustment. There is a gel sole that runs the full length of the shoe and it feels terrific! Overall, the shoe provides a comfortable, light weight, supportive run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best shoes! Best running shoes I've ever bought
I was sceptical when the shoe specialist shared his knowledge that the brooks glycerin 11's are one of the best running shoes. I had been loyal to Nike running shoes till I tried these on and went for a run. These shoes are worth every penny! I've told friends to go and try them on, they have, and bought them! Can't go wrong with these shoes!

Rated 1 out of 5 by B Treads fell off after light wear--about 100 miles
This was my first pair of Brooks shoes--women's Glycerin. Before this pair, I mostly wore Asics and Saucony both for running and walking, and I never had a problem with them falling apart. But only four months into this Brooks pair, the treads began to pull off the bottom of the right shoe. I did not run in them and only wore them casually a few hours a day a few days a week to run errands. They still looked brand new, including the treads with minimal treadwear, when the first tread began to tear off.
I contacted Brooks, and first they said these shoes are for running and not walking. What a joke! Like running over rocks and different terrain wouldn't tear them up faster than wearing them on a carpet or other flat surface. I understand how your feet hit the surface differently when running and how that would affect treadwear, but should anything really cause the treads to rip away from the shoe when they're basically new? Maybe working in a junkyard with sharp objects everywhere? Then Brooks told me the shoes are only meant to last 4 - 6 months. I went ahead and filed a claim for a defective item on the Brooks site (along with the photo of my new shoe with torn tread), and they replied: "When used for its intended purpose, Brooks footwear has an expected life of 300-500 miles or 4-6 months. By this measure and your described pattern of use, it's about time to update your shoes." Then they offered me a 25% discount on another pair. NO THANKS. I'm guessing my shoes got about 100 miles before the tread tore.
I have worn Asics, Saucony, Nike, Adidas, New Balance, and other brands, and none of them have ever fallen apart like these Brooks. My Asics and Saucony shoes I wore for over a year with custom orthotics, and I only replaced them when the treads were slightly worn down as expected--even before I could feel they had worn. Based on the poor quality of Brooks and their poor customer service, I will never buy another pair. After searching the reviews, I noticed others had similar complaints about them falling apart easily.
