Yak Gear Kayak Outriggers 3 5 1 1
Love what I can see so far I love what I can see so far, but to be honest I can't seriously consider buying them until I see them mounted to some kayak(s)! It is hard to picture exactly!? Which is why I guess "pictures are worth a thousand words" I'd also love to find out what material the tubing is and whether or not they might be easily modified by lengthening of tubing and/or creating bends or of fsets to insure the pontoon floats being in the right place relative to the water line etc I also would hope these incorporate a method of flipping them up and out of the water if need be for tighter clearance whenever that may be needed. Ideally I envision them hinged having an "elbow" so when flipped up out of the water they would touch each other above the boat....held together via stron magnet maybe? then when needed a paddle blade coud be used to disconnect them so they fall each at their elbows into water "clicking" into place locked via spring and detent untill released again. (ability to unlock using the paddle and rope line slung above hull connecting the two? Click one side, then the other and with paddle under rope line rase them up until the right and left floats "kiss" one another above hull magentically latching them together!? Can you envision that??
