Rated 3 out of 5 by PaHiker Warmer, but not ideal My problem is cold finger tips, they actually get to the point of hurting when the temps drop below 30. Ideal is mittens, but you can't do anything with mittens on, so I search for gloves, and I've gone through a number of them. So how do the Seirus Heatwaves perform? Well, better than the OR Alibi's that I have, and quite a bit less bulky. Temps today when I started hiking were around 26-28, it took about 20 minutes before my fingertips started getting cold, but that only lasted about 15 minutes until my body heat started rising from the activity. So, I am please with most of their performance. Where do they fall short? Sadly, it is because of the foil liner...their main selling point. For some unbeknownst reason Seirus decided not to attach the foil liner to the rest of the inner glove. When I went to take them off, with slightly moist hands (from the warmth) the liner came out with my hand. It's not easy to get them back into place, but it can be done. I would not want to try this with a pair of liner gloves. If they fix this, I would be willing to bump up to a 4-4.5 rating. January 24, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by AnnS Sweaty..too warm Unfortunately, i don't have a good review for these gloves. while my husband had high hopes for the warmth they provide, his hands got so warm they began to sweat. He tried to keep them on to have them 'level off' but he couldn't stand it. We're going to return them. I have long underware made out of this same material and don't have this problem...just not a good system for the hands if you are prone to sweating I guess. January 21, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Billiamhe Almost perfect Warm and wonderful. My only issue is that the microdots become tacky when introduced to moisture... an internal lining would be nice. December 3, 2014
