Customer Reviews

Rated 2 out of 5áby 1 reviewer.
Rated 2 out of 5áby Customer experience was bad I apologize in advance, because this review will mostly be about the online buying experience with Dick's, not this tank top in particular. I realize this is not the most appropriate forum, but I actually spent a fair amount of time searching for another more direct way to give feedback on the customer experience, and was not able to find anything. I guess Dick's doesn't really want to hear from their customers? First of all, the way products are online displayed is counter-intuitive. Ask any female tennis player and she will tell you that she prefers to purchase matching tennis outfits (and this is the way that most tennis clothes are, in fact, designed.) Well, Dick's website does not even display complete outfits. It takes a large amount of guesswork to select a skirt and then try to match the top to it. In this case, I selected a skirt and this tank top appeared in the "recommended related products" suggestions to the right. The colors appeared to be the same, and they were suggested together, so surely they must match, right? Well, once they arrived I quickly learned that they don't match. At all. I also realized that I already owned this skirt in a different color and that Nike does, in fact, make a tank top that matches it perfectly so why Dick's would not offer that tank top, and would not make it easier for the shopper to purchase an entire outfit, I just do not know. There were no other tank tops on the website that were even close to the style or color of the skirt. In addition, my purchase of four items (a yoga sling, a tennis skirt, a tennis tank top, and a racquet bag) arrived on the same day, shipped from the same location, but in three separate boxes. This didn't negatively impact me as the customer, but I can only imagine the resources and money wasted by the company on these inefficient shipping methods. The tank top itself is fine - doesn't really look much like the picture on the website at all, but it's Nike brand so you know it is good quality. However the entire experience (including the difficulty in selecting matching items, the frustration of realizing the pictures/descriptions on the website are not accurate, and the wasteful shipping methods) was quite frustrating. I can tell you that I will not be shopping at Dick's website again - and I won't be shopping at their store, as my local store doesn't even carry ladies tennis clothes. July 7, 2014
