Customer Reviews:

Johnson Silver Minnow Spoon Lures 5 5 1 1
Great weedless spoon I've been fishing fresh and salt water with the Johnson's Minnow spoon for over 60 years and find them perfect for fishing the grassy flats, weeds and pads for nearly all fish. I always hook on a plastic grub or pork rind strip as I believe that enhances the effectiveness. Some times I'll cast onto a pad and wiggle it off, or let it settle on the bottom, then retrieve with a small jerk similar to fishing a plastic worm. It casts easily so 1/4 oz. is good for most spinning outfits, while 1/2 oz. works best with a casting rod. For me, silver has been the best all around, but I'm trying out colors too, especially for salt water. If I had to fish just one spoon this would be it because of it's versatility. December 7, 2014
