This product is not good It is very hard to walk and get tired very quickly. November 18, 2014
Super Happy I would like to start by saying I searched all over for the right treadmill. The reviews had helped and I finally chose this one. I will agree with some of the reviews, this machine is heavy! I picked it up myself at Dicks and they loaded it into my Nissan Pathfinder. Overall box fit with just a little hang out the back. Once home I was able to slide the box out by myself and on to the garage floor. There I opened the box and started to take things in to the house from the box and in to the basement where it was going to stay. The base took two of us .. and we actually set it on its side and slid it down the stairs .. carpeted stairs highly recommended. Installation was very easy and took only about an hour. I did put the treadmill together solo however a second person would have been ok to attach the top computer part to the base. But can be done with one person .. just take your time not to pinch the wires doing one side at a time. All the controls work, runs very quiet. I also purchased the 2 year extra plan. That is two years past the original warranty. After paying $1500 for a machine $155 did not seem to be unfair. When most likely the labor is what cost so much to fix any problem anyway. Used it several times and very very happy. November 18, 2014
Well built.... Great quality Great product! Better than the treadmills at the gym. November 11, 2014
runners If Your gonna take running seriouslly consider upgrading i run 26 miles aweek in the last 2.5 yrs l have had alot of problems With my f80.not very durable November 10, 2014
Feels Nice But Breaks Down Right After Warranty Expires I reviewed this product before I bought it and it got rave reviews. I am utterly disappointed in this treadmill because it broke down as soon as the warranty expired. We walk on it and it just stops. We got new parts and had a technician put it together and within months, it broke down again. For the price, this treadmill should last with no problems for at least 10 years. Ours only lasted 4. :( October 28, 2014
Great unit Ok the bad first...the speakers aren't that high on quality and the fan is absolutely useless....and it's flipping heavy. Now the good...it's flipping heavy, meaning it's a sturdy treadmill. Great function and display. Assembly is a breeze and takes about 30 minutes or less. That's pretty good when other users of other treadmills are talking hours to set theirs up. It's fairly quiet and offers no lag when switching speeds or incline. Lastly, price was a little more than I wanted to spend, however, for lifetime warranty on deck, frame AND motor...well worth. All in all, probably the best treadmill out there with the most bang for the buck. Happy running. October 27, 2014
Good treadmill, defective wiring Received treadmill last week, assembled it on the weekend. The right side has a fast/slow button, but fast makes it go slow, slow makes it go fast (they are obviously reversed). Otherwise, the treadmill appears to work fine. I called SOLE on Monday morning and spoke to a rep, he mailed me new wiring (assuming for that side) and said a tech would contact me to set up an appointment to install the new wiring. It is now Wed, I'm assuming that will happen within a week.....we will see. October 1, 2014
Purchased with our tax return March 2007 I never do reviews but the purchase we made in March 2007 on our Sole F80 treadmill at Dicks Sporting Goods, Newark (Christiana Mall), Delaware has exceeded our expectations far beyond incredible. First of all my wife is a marathon runner in both half and full categories. She has clocked great times in full and half marathons. I'm a military professional (Army now Air Force) so being fit is vital to my successful career in the military. My wife trains more outside than I but when she runs indoors on the Sole F80 treadmill she exceeds 15 - 20 miles. I train outdoor as well but most of the time indoors on our Sole F80 treadmill. Weekly I put in more than 20 miles on our treadmill. Our treadmill continues to work like a champ, no maintenance issues what so ever. We have never serviced it or call for repairs or had any parts replaced or repaired but continue to beat it down. If you are not sure about your purchase, I will tell you based on the experience and miles we have accrued on the Sole F80, speaks for itself. You will not be disappointed. Good luck with your decision and purchase. September 16, 2014
works well Bought at store after researching reviews. Clerk was knowledgable in guiding to appropriate treadmill based on our usage & needs. My 3 children and I managed to unload this very heavy unit from my truck & put a lot of it together as surprise for my husb. Directions could have been written much better, as you must put arm covers on the right way but they aren't labeled so we ended up having to take things apart to correct an unnecessary mistake. Its extremely solid, works as promised. Note-you cannot plug into GFCI outlet (with the red/black buttons on it) so get your wiring ready. We had to change out an outlet in order to use. Also you must have 3' safety space behind unit, so it does take up a lot of room. But my 200# husb is now breaking the sweat he needs to lose weight, so we're happy overall! Chose this model over others because of longer warranty coverage, mostly positive reviews and stronger motor. Will update if ever this fails us. August 12, 2014
Sole F80 I really like the features of the Sole F80. It was easy to assemble and works very well. I did find that the hand sensors for heart rate monitoring are a bit more forward than the models I use at the gym which makes monitoring my heart rate when having the machine at an incline more difficult. However since this model comes with a heart rate monitor that I can wear this is not a significant issue. July 11, 2014
