Rated 4 out of 5 by Happy Paddling Very good entry level Kayak. Can't beat the price and performance of this entry level kayak. It handles well, is easy to carry and has room for cargo on extended trips. If you want to see if kayaking is for you or just need an extra kayak for friends, this is excellent way to go. Rated 5 out of 5 by Water snake Great kayak for the money Kayak performed great on the lake, cut's the water good and stable even when bigger boats make waves. Also used the kayak in the river did great. The only bad thing I can say is that it don't track as good as my future beach 120. With the addition of a rear fin or two you would be in good shape. Yes I do like it better than my future beach. August 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rachel Perfect! This was our first kayak purchase. The Dick's near us had the orange one and a green on in stock so we bought them both and took them out yesterday. They were great! Easy to maneuver, comfortable back rest, loads of different body positions optional to remain comfortable. The open design allows for sun tanning and hanging your feet over into the water. The 2 of us carried both at the same time with the handles so transporting them to the launch area was easy! We also were able to get both kayaks INTO our minivan. They just fit! Great purchase. I really recommend them. August 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by JG great fun This was the second pelican apex 100 kayak that we have purchased. After using the first one, we decide to purchase a second one. We have used them in our local lake and river. Would recommend this product. The cost was great compared to others and the kayak worked well. August 23, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by JCB Awesome birthday present! Got this kayak as a birthday present for $199, and it's a great kayak for that price! I made a few modifications- a flush-mount rod holder & a paddle keeper, and it's great for fishing! Easy to make mods with pilot holes and paddle landing. It's a got a huge spot in the back for storage. Easy to paddle forward and maneuver. Comfy seat that is riveted on, allowing you to actually lean back. One possible drawback is that there are no scupper holes in the seat (good thing because it helps to keep you dry) UNLESS water gets in there, then it's sort of trapped there. But I haven't had this problem yet. can't wait for some more kayak fishing! August 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by elisabeth Great value for my family. Very sturdy kayak. I rented a beach house with extended family on the sound front of Hatteras Island, NC and we used this kayak in the sound every day. Various members of my family enjoyed this boat; it was roomy and comfortable. My daughters (9 and 13) would paddle around in it together, then my short, stocky husband would have a go with it. Even my sister's husband, who is 6 feet, 8 inches tall, took a turn one day paddling into the sound with my sister riding her own kayak out. We did not notice any leaks. I am a petite 120 pound female, and my husband and I had no problems making the 50 meter trip with it from the car down to the sound on our first day there. I'd have struggled with it by myself, though. This week it is out on loan to friends going down to Hatteras. We would like to buy another one soon--same model as it is an excellent value for people like us who go kayaking occasionally (a few times per year). July 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Case Easier to get on & off I'm on the short heavier side with arthritis of the hands & knees It was very difficult to get out of my other sit in kayak I usually had to fall out of it This one is much easier still a challenge but doable. My only neg is the handles they work but if there was another one on top it would help in carrying it myself. July 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Arien G. My new favorite toy! I got this kayak for my birthday at the sale price of $179.99. It is perfect! I have only taken it into smooth streams and creeks but it is easy to maneuver, light enough for me to load and unload on my own, the seat is comfortable, the footrest fits my feet perfectly, I really can't say enough good things about this kayak. I wish I had purchased one years ago! Now I have to get one for the rest of the family so we can all go exploring together. July 3, 2014
