Rated 4 out of 5 by JCB Awesome birthday present! Got this kayak as a birthday present for $199, and it's a great kayak for that price! I made a few modifications- a flush-mount rod holder & a paddle keeper, and it's great for fishing! Easy to make mods with pilot holes and paddle landing. It's a got a huge spot in the back for storage. Easy to paddle forward and maneuver. Comfy seat that is riveted on, allowing you to actually lean back. One possible drawback is that there are no scupper holes in the seat (good thing because it helps to keep you dry) UNLESS water gets in there, then it's sort of trapped there. But I haven't had this problem yet. can't wait for some more kayak fishing! August 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by elisabeth Great value for my family. Very sturdy kayak. I rented a beach house with extended family on the sound front of Hatteras Island, NC and we used this kayak in the sound every day. Various members of my family enjoyed this boat; it was roomy and comfortable. My daughters (9 and 13) would paddle around in it together, then my short, stocky husband would have a go with it. Even my sister's husband, who is 6 feet, 8 inches tall, took a turn one day paddling into the sound with my sister riding her own kayak out. We did not notice any leaks. I am a petite 120 pound female, and my husband and I had no problems making the 50 meter trip with it from the car down to the sound on our first day there. I'd have struggled with it by myself, though. This week it is out on loan to friends going down to Hatteras. We would like to buy another one soon--same model as it is an excellent value for people like us who go kayaking occasionally (a few times per year). July 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Case Easier to get on & off I'm on the short heavier side with arthritis of the hands & knees It was very difficult to get out of my other sit in kayak I usually had to fall out of it This one is much easier still a challenge but doable. My only neg is the handles they work but if there was another one on top it would help in carrying it myself. July 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Arien G. My new favorite toy! I got this kayak for my birthday at the sale price of $179.99. It is perfect! I have only taken it into smooth streams and creeks but it is easy to maneuver, light enough for me to load and unload on my own, the seat is comfortable, the footrest fits my feet perfectly, I really can't say enough good things about this kayak. I wish I had purchased one years ago! Now I have to get one for the rest of the family so we can all go exploring together. July 3, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fisher Would recommend item I got this kayak and really tested it out..did great..yes it leaked water and after testing out were it leaks i fixed and no longer leak. Great for money and will have loads of fun fishing on it. The rivets leak I just took plumbers goop and sealed the rivet top and no leak..a little leaking is normal but I'd rather have none if I can and this worked. I installed hatch and flush rod holders as well. Stable I forced fliped it to see what it would take and I know it's limitations as far as I can lean with it. I can stand up in it as well but I don't plan on fishing that way. Easy to get back up on in water just a little practice will help when u have gear on it. Love it very happy June 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by steve Not bad for a cheap first kayak I bought this kayak mainly because i didn't want to spend a lot of money on a kayak. I got it on sale here for 179.99. This kayak is great because it is lightweight and I can carry it up to my 3rd story apartment. I'm 6'3'' and about 180 lbs and it tracks alright but not great however this could be because i'm kayaking in rivers affected by ocean tides. I think if the water was still it would be much easier. Rated 4 out of 5 by govols awesome for the money I have been fishing out of a 12 foot Jon boat for several and had been debating buying a kayak for a while. Dicks had this kayak on sale for $199 so I figured it was time to pull the trigger. Took it out today to fish for redfish and sea trout and it did great. Very light weight. This kayak tracks well enough for me even When I have a fishing rod in my hand most of the time. I opted to not get the angler edition because I would rather add the rod holders so they are in a location that is more practical. This kayak sits fairly low.in the water so there's not a lot of surface area for the wind to grab and helps with tracking. June 7, 2014
