Rated 5 out of 5 by SusanLu Perfect shoe for functional strength and conditioning!
I started with a pair of Inov-8 f-lite 195's when I began at the new gym I joined. I thought I liked them, but I struggled with form on simple moves like air squats, front/back squats because they were just too flat for my feet (not enough support for my arches and ankles). I ended up putting my super feet inserts into them, but was constantly having to switch shoes mid workout when we'd move from strength moves to metabolic conditioning. I searched around and found these?and I LOVE them! I still keep my super feet inserts in them, but the 6mm to 3mm drop from heel to toe has made a huge difference in my lower body form during my squats! Even my trainer noticed a huge difference!!! They even have enough support that I no longer have to switch shoes anymore when we move to sprints/treadmill work. Can't say enough good about this shoe!! I am between a 9.5 and a 10 in most shoes. The 9.5 is perfect, but they do run a little narrow, but not uncomfortable narrow because of the great upper material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by readimix great for training equip.
these are great shoes, I have a trainer and we use machines and these shoes have no slip, sliding on the machines, great for lunges, etc., exercises that require heel use.

These are excellent shoes. I do Insanity, play tennis, and lift weights; these shoes are great for all of these. One problem with the shoes is that there is not any structure in the back heel wall of the shoe so they feel like they are slipping off. Another problem was that while doing Insanity (burpees for example), these are minimalist shoes and not a lot of sole at the toes, when going down I always feel like I'll snap my big toes (ouch). The toe reinforcement over the mesh is great, could go a bit longer down the side but the mesh is better construction than my Asics so these will probably last longer. The fit was fine in my usual size. I also liked that I could confirm my size with the sizing guide (in cm's). Despite the two issues I have with my shoes, they were great out of the box, no break-in period. Very comfortable and my feet and back do not hurt afterwards. I'm flat-footed with a bunion on one of my feet and have scoliosis. Never thought I'd be able to buy a pair of shoes from a big box store and they work with my issues.

I am doing Insanity workout on hardwood floors. I was getting shin splints from landing on hard surfaces without cushion. Needless to say, I got the shoes in a day. I paid for 2 day shipping and they arrived a day early. I got them right before I worked out. The first time I wore them, they kind of hurt my feet but I realized I tied them to tight. I have had them for almost 3 weeks and they feel like heaven on my feet. I can move faster and they are extremely light. I have noticed though that if you shoe lands in a puddle of sweat or water, your shoe will slide. I bought a pair of Nikes before these and had them one day and sent them back. It wasn't because I didn't like them, but they were to big. I figured if i wanted something to truly help with my shins, I'd spend the money on a good pair of shoes. The Inov-8's I actually got in 7's and I wear a size 9. If you order any Inov-8 shoe, measure your foot and go by their sizing guide. It makes a huge difference in what size you order!!!! They are worth the money especially if you do high impact and high intensity workouts.
