Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Buy...Alot of fun My girlfriend has this Kayak. It's unbelievable how easy it is to get around in and with little effort. In open water (the lake) it's very safe, unless trying to stand up in it... would be very hard to roll over in. June 22, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Entry Fishing Kayak Overall this is a great Kayak for Minnesota Lakes. Very Stable on the water and is not so much a "sit-on-top" as more of just an open bow Kayak. This being the case you stay very dry compared to true sit-on-top boats. I have a nicer Ocean Kayak brand fishing Kayak and the quality difference is apparent but you get what you pay for. For the money the Sun Dolphin is a good little boat, I keep it for friends to use when they go out with me. My complaint is that I wish is had more built in brackets/loops to hook things to like an anchor line, but those can be added. Otherwise it has good storage and the tow-behind compartment is nice to have as well for longer trips. The plastic is a bit thin, but that is what maske it so light and easy to transport. Any holes would be easy to repair so I am not concerned about it. May 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome for the lake Great! Got it for my son for his birthday. Spent the weekend at the lake fishing and LOVE IT!! Everyone who used it loved it. The whole family enjoyed it. No problems at all. May 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good kayak for the price This is a very stable and feature packed kayak for the money. It has three rod holders, very ample storage and is durable. The high density polyethylene that it's made of is indestructible. Only dislike I have is that it gets your seat wet. April 12, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by comes with a lot for the $ While there a better kayaks this one is good for the money. It is very stable tracks o.k.and has plenty of room. It will haul a nice camping set down any river. No white water of course. It is made out of a flexible type of polyethylene that has some give to it. Maybe that is what made some reviewers think it was "cheap". The only thing I didn't like about it is that it has no scupper holes so that any water that gets in will run to the lowest point. With this kayak the lowest point is the seat. Still I am happy with my kayak. February 5, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible Terrible kayak. Soft junky plastic that won't keep its shape & cuts up really easy. This boat won't track for anything. The dry box in the back is of little use has well as the little hatch in the front. The opening in the front is to narrow. Rod holder is very junky & to short to work well. I have 2 different cheaper priced boats from Pelican that are far nicer. This one is going back to be replaced by another Pelican. The only plus I have for it is that it is very stable. June 21, 2013
