Rated 5 out of 5 by This is what I was looking for in a home Gym. Sturdy, smooth and quick changeover from one to the other. I looked at a few home Gyms and this one had more of what I was looking for than any others close to this price range. I was a Gym rat for about 10yrs and messed my shoulders up so no more heavy lifting for me. With that said I can say that the Marcy Pro Circuit Trainer has good features and a solid smooth operation that I wasn't finding in others I was trying. I've had it almost a week now and with the split routine I have used it 4 times now and I'm very happy with it. October 17, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Marcy Pro Circuit Trainer I was very leery about the assembly of this home gym based on reading previous reviews. I am happy to report that my experience was no where near as bad as described previously. I am not sure if they made changes/improvements to the instructions based on previous reviews. The total assembly time was approximately 4 1/2 hours, I laid out each piece on the floor like shown in the instruction book which helped me tremendously. Since everything was based on diagrams and no words I found each page had a contained amount of pieces to assemble and was easy to follow. Probably the most challenging part was running the cables, there could have been additional close ups to confirm some of the assembly questions. Overall, it is a solid product. Really can't comment too much since it has been set up for about a week now but there are a fair amount of exercises that can be performed on it. Also, I am looking to get some accessories so that we can increase the number of routines that can be performed. September 22, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by What a bargain! I started looking for a compact circuit trainer for my son's birthday and fell into a great deal on this unit. This being a close-out and on sale I ended up paying $40 and some change. I read some of the reviews on this unit and most of the negative comments were in regard to the assembly. I can understand why because some of the instructions are a little vague. It's all pictures with no written instruction. The parts are not marked, which in my opinion didn't really matter as you can tell by the pictures what they are. I didn't have any problems putting this together by myself and it took about 5 hours, but that included a couple of football watching breaks. If you have any kind of mechanical skills then you will not have any problems, but if you don't then find a friend that does because you're going to have some fits. The instructions say that you will only need the supplied allen wrenches and your own crescent wrench, but my advice is to have a couple of sockets and ratchet. Assembly will go much quicker. All in all this is a nice piece of exercise equipment and my son loves it. September 11, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Equipment For Staying Toned My days of lifting heavy are behind me but for my wife and I we found this which allows a good workout in the convenience of our home, actually in our garage. Not commercial quality but fine for the house. I really don't think it provides 200 lbs. resistance like advertised but enough to stay toned. Just do more reps! Plenty for the wife. Assembly; we'll be patient and don't think it can be done anytime soon. You also need someone to help. My wife and I did it in about 4 hours. All the nuts and bolts are numbered but none of the frame or brackets are! Would help tremendously if they were. The most difficult part for assembling was the pulley's! Take your time and don't get frustrated! If my wife and I can do it, anyone can. August 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Many different exercises for the price I almost passed on this deal due to the many negative comments about pulleys, instructions, etc. I'd honestly give it a solid 4 leaning toward a 4.5 rating. This thing did take about 3 hours to build along with 20 minutes or so unpacking and laying pieces out. If you can put together a LEGO set (beginners model) you can definitely do this. The instructions are pretty easy and similar in that manner--no words at all. Don't prematurely open up the blister packs of hardware--that would be a huge mistake. Open as needed. Each step tells you what hardware you need and its one section at a time per page. Easy. I was very surprised at the quality compared to the price and the amount of exercises listed and many more you can do. Excellent value. You can't go wrong for a home gym August 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Product good, instructions terrible The machine itself is functioning fine, it's great for the price and has offered me several workouts when I don't have time to get to the gym. I agree with the other comments on the site though, the instructions were nearly useless. It took myself and my girlfriend to assemble the machine, definitely a 2 man job. Despite the horrible paperwork on installation, I'd still recommend it as a purchase, just understand it's going to take a while to assemble and come with frustration as you decipher the wordless pictures. It's almost like they realized they were running out of paper and started to compress 3-4 steps into each page. June 28, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by do not know in structions are too vague hard to put together only pictures no instructions had to get someone to put together still waiting and cost me 216.88 June 25, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible instructions Assembly was nearly impossible. If you are looking to spend $189 for assembly then this is the product for you. If not then do not purchase this product. Bought this off the Dick's website about a week ago and when putting it together noticed all the directions were just pictures no words at all. Parts numbered in booklet but actual part not labeled. Terrible product. Would not recommend. June 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great piece of machinery! Finally got it put together! The instructions are a little vague, especially when it comes to the pulleys! All in all I'm pretty impressed! June 16, 2016
