Rated 5 out of 5 by Powell Golfer Great Monocular! I purchased the monocular to use as a zoo docent. I needed a small viewer that I could hold in one hand while working. The Bushnell Bear Grylls 9/32 is very powerful, easy to use, and offers a very clear image. I wish it came with a neck/shoulder strap but it comes with a wrist strap only. October 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by IC OK Bear This is a reasonably priced monocular. I am sure if Bushnell took Bear Grylls' name off of it, it would be 25% cheaper. It is okay for what it is. July 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by EYEPIECE Very bright, rugged, and clear As monocs go, this is pretty chunky, but performance is stellar. One would expect a bright image, but the contrast is also extremely good, so it adds up right. The ridged-rubber grip actually couples to your arm and reduces shake. The focus was fast enough that it took tweaking to get maximum sharpness, but it did deploy and focus fast. With the QC issues from China, I wanted to check it at a bricks-n-mortar place. The clerk was really helpful and cut it out of the pack for me. I took a look and there was no turning back. This is a great substitute for compact travel binoculars...brighter, smaller, and a nice surprise, lower shake. Bracing the hand on the forehead is also easy with this cylinder. This will go out hiking and to museums and vacations. Around home I still use binocs for the cognitive ease. Great field width for a 9x: super for sports. June 12, 2013
