I have been inline skating for 24 years, and this is one of the best pair of skates I've owned. The frame is centered well, balanced, and doesn't extend too far past the boot. As a skate designed for faster recreational skating, the smaller second wheel allows the frame to still be shorter. This makes the heel brake easier to press than some of the other big wheeled skates, like the K2 Radical Pro, which had the brake extend too far back. The boots are true to size, which I have come to expect in Rollerblade brand skates. The toe felt a bit close, but the liner is soft and didn't put pressure on my toes.
The ratchet strap across the instep is easy to operate and achieve the desired tension. The lacing system is a bit cumbersome with the hook and loop strap getting in the way while trying to tie the skates. The strap works well enough, but don't expect to crank the upper tension. I skate a little looser in my boots through the instep and the upper cuff, so this is no big deal to me; however, I've known some skaters to tighten their cuffs more than these will truly allow without serious arm strength.
Once laced and on the trail, the skates perform really well under a variety of terrain. I've taken them on some significant hills and rougher trails, and the larger wheel glides smoothly over the lumps. The bearings have remained silent for the first 100 miles, and there doesn't seem to be signs of wear. I've also, just for grins, ridden them on the half-pipe; smooth as silk and more stable than expected.
