Rated 2 out of 5 by Too thin I used these shin guards for an entire season and they just weren't very good. Every time the ball hit my shins it would hurt a ton and I would get huge bruises because these shin guards are far too thin and the slits spread apart when the ball hits to allow the ball to directly hit your shin. I would not recommend this product. August 20, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by ouch I was so excited when I bought these. they have great padding and I liked the breathing holes. well, it took me an hour to put them on the first time..... the second, third, and fourth.... anyways, although the padding was great, they were so tight it was literally cutting off my circulation! it made my leg real ichy too. I had an all day scrimmage and after the second 30min game I HAD to take them off (which was close to impossible) and I had deep imprents ingraved in my skin. I thought that my calf was just huge till I talked to another girl that's going through the same thing. if you decided to get them, wear tall socks under them or shove towels in them. August 20, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not strong enough for high school level I wore these in middle school and had no problem with them, as they were very breathable, easily washable, and soft. However, once I got to high school and began playing on a club team being hit in the shin with these on still hurt a lot and I sometimes even would still get bruises even with these on. They did protect me somewhat, but the level of pain you feel when you get hit with these on is much greater than when you get hit with traditional, hard shelled field hockey shin guards. Rated 1 out of 5 by Too thin & too tight These shin guards say they are adult but it takes all your energy to get them over your foot and on your leg. Also way too thin to prevent the shock of a ball hitting your leg. However, I do like the vented concept. Two years ago, I bought some STX Lacrosse shin guards for use as a softball pitcher that were light weight, thick, and easily went over your foot and on your leg. The only issue was no air vents causing a heat rash on your leg. Gold Bond powder helped eliminate the heat rash. What happened to this model of shin guards? I can't find them now and I loved them. Rated 4 out of 5 by Field Hockey Shin Guards Great field hockey shin guard option for the player who really doesn't like the huge, hard shin guards traditionally worn in FH. Worn these for 3 years now at a high level of play and haven't been hurt. October 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Good shin guards. I get a lot of compliments on them during practice. They are very breathable which helps during games. September 7, 2014
