Rated 4 out of 5 by finch Great I love it so far. I mostly pond fish so I can't always carry a bunch of rods so I have to find something versatile and this has been it. It can handle just about all styles of fishing from top water popping to deep dive baits and I have no trouble at all casting even light weight lures like a weightless worm. July 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Howie Love it!! I bought one this week and use it this morning. Caught 3 nice smallies, 1 largemouth, 2 pickerel and a bunch of rock bass. Absolutely love it!!! It is light, well balanced, casts well, has a good backbone for solid hook set and is an exceptional value for the money. I liked it so much I bought a second one this afternoon. June 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by JrBass GREAT combo i got this combo as a bday gift last year (100 bucks at the time) and i absolutely love it. have caught many fish, biggest was a 5lb 6oz largemouth and it handled with ease. i use it as a worm/plastics rod and have no complaints. the reel could be a bit faster ratio but definitely not a deal breaker... best combo out there for the price June 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bassin Well worth the money (IMO) This is my third year fishing the Skeet Reese rods ( i own 12 and just bought 2 more)and I have had very good luck with them. I set my wife up with a combo last year and she now has 4. I have read reviews of complaints of the rod breaking but I have caught many many fish on these rods and never had any issues. I would chalk it up to a defective rod at the start. Like any other product, some always seem to get past inspectors). I think these combos are well worth the money!!!Jerry June 8, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Shane Decent Rod, Bad Reel The rod has good feel and the casting accuracy is superb. I feel like you could get comparable rods for much cheaper though. The reel is below average quality and I would strongly recommend getting the rod with a different reel. I would suggest getting skipping this combo because of the price and the reel quality. Rated 5 out of 5 by jerho1988 What a Combo!!! I bought this rod and reel combo last week to take out kayak fishing and it did not let me down. It has great sensitivity and play for wacky style and finesse fishing and a strong back bone for setting the hook. The first fish I caught was a 9 lbs bowfin followed by 3 bass ranging from 1 to 2 lbs. The micro-guides are both a pro and a con. while I was able to cast with greater precision I was not able to cast as far. But considering all the pros, I thought it was worth it. August 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by AHay Rod: Great, Reel: Meh... Love the rod, aside from being a little unwieldy on the kayak at times, it seems to have a good combo of whippiness and sensitivity w/o being overly bendy. The reel seems a bit sloppy to me however and has a good amount of resistance to closing the bailer unless cranking at exactly the right angle. Still pretty nice combo for the money, but I could see replacing the reel at some point in the future. July 2, 2013
