Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fast becoming favorite We use both this (KOB) and the Wilson AVP and have been satisfied with both. They both play very well and durability is about the same, but the KOB adds a lot of responsiveness to the game. It spins very well and moves more than the AVP for less effort - really rewards a finesse set or attack as well as the heavy hitters. November 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best outdoor volleyball This is the best outdoor volleyball on the market for both grass and sand. Only complaint is I've visited three Dick's store and none of them had them on the shelf. The cheap model are stocked on the shelf. As a volleyball fan this is upsetting. June 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great ball, holds up well Great sand ball- good weight/feel. Bought it at the beginning of last year and it's held up to tons of use through last season. Getting an additional one for this summer. April 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great ball, cover is a little stiff I had been using some of these balls at the gym and loved them, so I bought two for myself. It seems like the new ones have a slightly different cover material. I like the feel of the old ones a little better. New new ones are fine and you will probably like playing with one. Everyone had fun and no one complained about this ball last time I used it. November 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best competitive beach ball out there. Soft feel, quality leather, I love this ball. Plays well in the wind & overall any conditions. September 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best of all pro beach balls I've tried the Wilson Avp pro, the mikasa beach champ and this by far the best. The feel of the ball is good. Made very well hand stitched seems. Strikes well, sets well, flies well. Get this ball it's worth the money! June 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceptional beach volleyball This has become the standard for play among most competitive players at the beaches in our area, plays nicely, and weathers well. June 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pleasently surprised! I was a little scheptical at first about buying this ball. I have always had the Wilson AVP, and didn't know if I would be satisfied with the synthetic cover on the Spalding. But after playing with it for a few weeks I have no complaints! I like the weight of the ball, the feel is nice, and there isn't any "sting" on your arms that you usually get from a synthetic ball. Hopefully it will hold up longer than the AVP ball did! (The AVP starts loosing air after a few months) June 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by A great ball (while it held air) This is the ball that good volleyball players prefer over the Wilson AVP. It sets, bumps, spikes, and serves better than almost all other balls. After 6 months of play, it started losing air. Now, it's a $45 "marshmallow," flat and useless. This is a known problem among veteran players. I'd recommend getting an extended warranty or similar and save your receipt. March 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good on sand near water Bought "King of the Beach" because I was looking for a ball that could be used by the water with out getting heavy or damaged. I was tired of using my good leather balls (Wilson AVP and Mikasa blue/yellow/white Olympic) which would get very heavy as they got wet. Plus at $60 each I don't want to damage them by getting them wet repeatedly. We play on a small sand beach very near a lake and the ball gets wet every 5 minutes. This ball is great. Get it wet and just dry with a beach towel. Doesn't change weight or feel once towel dried. We play it soft for control. some balls 'slap' your arms when soft but not this one. Hope it lasts a long time to offset the $40 I paid at Dicks. Best synthetic ball I've used. July 30, 2013
