This was my first pair of Rocky boots. I bought them in late Nov. '13. Right out of the box I thought they fit well and were comfortable. I especially liked the thick insole in these boots as compared to every other boot I looked at. These became my go to boot. Now, mid Feb, I go to put them on and notice that the outside back of both boots where the rubber is stitched to the leather is ripped open on both boots! Not happy. I contacted Rocky via live chat and was abruptly told to go to the store with them and was cut off. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is I really did like the boots until they blew out. Poor construction killed them though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by iowacyclist very warm but insole was not up to par
Bought the boots and 3 days later spent 4 hours walking on Lake Superior ice. Very warm Just one pair of socks and my feet were warm in the -3 deg F temps, on snow and 15 mph winds. The right insole was perfect. The left is no consistent in density. I sent a note to Rocky but not answer back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Clyde10 Very dry and warm
I have two jobs that are both outdoors where I am required to walk through untreated snow mud or water, these boots have kept my feet warm and dry. Thought that I should have bought a larger size only to find out that layers of socks was not necessary, one pair of good quality socks was suffice.

Bought these boots to work outdoors. I am a carpenter and was outside in wet cold and snowy weather. My feet stayed warm and dry. I usually wear Red Wings but wanted a less expensive pair of boots. These exceeded my expectations. They were also very comfortable and true to size.

I bought these boots because my Wolverines gave out this year, I was looking for another pair of Wolverines, because they were the best boots I had ever worn. I couldn't find the same Wolverines so I bought these Rockies, mainly because of they were the most reasonably priced Gore-Tex boot (nothing works like Gore-Tex), along with 800 grams of insulation I could find. I feel they are an extremely well made boot that will last many years. The sole and overall construction is above par and, so far they are extremely warm and dry. My reason for giving them a 4 out of 5 is the comfort factor. They have great support in the arch and they do not hurt my feet or my back (my back hurts without good foot support), but at this time, they do hurt around my ankles. This is probably just a break in problem that will resolve over time, I have no doubt. Here's the skinny, the are extremely warm, dry and supportive but give them some break in time before you need them for an extended use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by thriftyuser Not what I expected from "Rocky"
Bought these boots last year for hunting in Md. Out of the box they were very comfortable, warm and water resistant. I was pleased with my purchase. About 6 months later I noticed the back strap above the heel was cracked. I e-mailed "Rocky" several times with no answer back. Now both boots are completely torn-out in that area. I have another brand of boots I've been wearing for 12 years and only replaced the heels and soles. I guess from now on I'll buy that brand... No more "Rockies" for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flat Lander Great Boot For Cold Weather
I purchased a pair of these boots a number of years ago and use them for deer hunting in Vermont. I find them very comfortable especially for a person with foot problems.
They are comfortable right out of the box. Keep your feet warm and dry all day for numerous days of all day hunting. I have a couple of pairs of other brand boots and always reach for the rocks first. I am looking to purchase another pair in camo at this time and will while on sale at a good price at Dicks.
I recommend this boot for hunting in cold weather while sitting stand for long periods of time.
