Customer Reviews:

Rated 4 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great light weight shoe - for training and race day I've found my shoe! After having awful injuries from Nike's (the balls of my feet hurt) Saucony's (my calves hurt, along with the fact the sole couldn't keep up with my runs, I could blow through a pair of saucony's in a month - pretty costly!) I decided to try these New Balances. I like lightweight shoes, but I needed a sole to keep up with the miles I long in them. They were light weight and airy - allowing my feet to breathe. I trained for a half marathon in these, and ran the race in them and they held up well. I never had one injury I experienced from past sneakers and brands nor did I experience new injuries. I even got compliments when I finished :) October 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good, lightweight shoe I have owned several pairs of the NB 1400. I love that they are super lightweight and breathable but still provide more structure and cushioning than a "minimalist" shoe. I am prone to shin splints and knee injuries, but no injuries with this shoe. I run 20-30 miles per week on the road and hard-packed trails. I have done several 5k's and sprint triathlons with these shoes. June 8, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Awful These shoes run long and narrow. If you have even a medium width foot, they're going to be too tight. The picture and description doesn't do a very good job at explaining there is absolutely nothing to them. Complete netting/mesh-won't work unless you're running indoors, unless you enjoy the sensation of wet feet. Also the sole is extremely thin and there's zero support. Zero. Barefoot running would be about the same as wearing these...cool color but that's the only positive remark I can make. Disappointed in NB for the first time. May 19, 2014
