Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 49 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Inexperienced reviewers If you load the bolt the wrong way, the safety will lock up, its a it's part of ADF, be thankful because you probably loaded the arrow with the wrong fletching and would have had a dry fire and broke your bow. Strings break because people don't use wax. I have had no problems with this bow if you handle it right and take care of it. For 300 bucks you cant go wrong, the scope is really good and the bow is super light and easy to cock, and its shooting at 300 fps, you can go buy an excalibur that shoots at that speed and it will cost you about 600 give or take 50 bucks. Broke off cement when I hit my cement wall with this thing, this thing hits hard for a little bow, plus axle to axle it is only about 16 inches, this bow is great. June 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Smooth and Quiet I'm 66 years old, was looking for a light weight bow with 300 fps or better with enough KE for whitetail deer. I set the bow up for 30 yards with only five shots, it was dead on at 40 and 50 with all shots falling in an 8" diameter. It shoots smooth and quiet compared to a lot of more powerful crossbows I have shot. I would, and have recommended this bow to fellow hunter. August 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Compact and lightweight, but lethal (;-) I'm a 45 year-old, 5'4" woman of average weight and build. I hunted with my husband's crossbow for the first time last year, but found it heavy and awkward in the tree stand -- I kept hitting it on the rail every time I made the slightest movement. I usually can sit very still, but had to occasionally adjust because of the weight #Quad 400#. We bought the Recruit because it was light and had the narrower frame. With the cocking device, I can load this crossbow myself and from the first shot was able to "kill" a small apple at 40-50 yards! The crossbow comes with a scope, but I wanted a red dot scope, so I never shot it with the original scope #only had crosshairs#. I was also looking at buying a sling for it, so was nicely surprised to see that it came with a sling. It was easy to carry into the woods and hold in the tree I just need some deer to cross my path! Rated 5 out of 5 by 50 yr old petite woman Great crossbow. I did a lot of research before deciding on this one. I never bought One before now because I did not think they made powerful smaller ones. Once I Read the few reviews on this one I decided to take a chance on it being what I needed. I got it from Dicks Sporting Goods in central Arkansas. My son put it together in about 10 minutes. I shot it shortly after and was able to use the cocking rope that was Included without difficulty. I was hitting the bullseye after a few shots and minor Adjustments to the scope. I love this and am glad I purchased this particular one. It surprised my son at how accurate, powerful, and quiet it was in comparison to his Bigger 180 pull one. October 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by FIrst Cross Bow Me and my buddy both bought this bow. I got a better deal buying it at Dicks then him buying it at basspro. Easy to set up and easy to sight in. My buddy had a few issue of not being able to shoot but he didn't have his arrow seated all the way each time. I have not had a single issue with it yet. Keep the strings waxed as recommended and you shouldn't have an issue. July 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bow, Great value, & Great service Was looking for a good starter bow for my 14 year old boy. Wanted a crossbow that was light weight, shot fast, compact, and affordable. This bow delivered. I chose dicks because they offered the 4 by 32 scope, when the red dot scopes were getting bad reviews. The folks at dicks were very helpful. They assembled our bow, and even got it roughly sighted for us. My boy is busting bullseyes at 20, 30, & 40. He can't wait to get in the woods and tag his first buck. The 4 by 32 multi range scope was very accurate and came with low light lens caps, the bow shot smooth and quiet, an all around good bow. Thinking of getting one for myself. Special thanks to garnet in the Ashville outlet. September 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent crossbow The price was just right the weight and size is so much better that the other crossbows I have. The staff at Dick's was super great and very helpful. I would recommend this bow for anyone who does not want to spend a arm and a leg for a higher priced bow. Shoots great. And of coarse I would recommend you buy it at Dick's August 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great crossbow You don't need to go spend a lot of $$$ for a crossbow, this one does all you need.I have killed plenty of deer, wild hogs and turkey. October 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good product; Great customer service!! This is my first crossbow and I bought it so my daughter could use it as well. After reading reviews I felt like she would be able to use it fairly easily and she is. After sighting it in, which was rather painless, she was able to nail the target at 25, 30, and 40 yards no problem. So far I am happy with this crossbow. The service at Dicks in Greensboro was great. They assembled the crossbow for me and gave me some helpful tips as well. They allowed me to fire it in their archery range before I left to make sure I was comfortable with how it operates. They were also very helpful in advising me in broad heads and extra bolts and other accessories I might need. Some of which they did not carry, so they were not just trying to sell me stuff. I found this crossbow cheaper online, but the customer service I got from Dicks made it worth the few extra dollars. Thanks. November 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by An easy 4 for me. Was quite simple to set up and sight in. Once sighted in it shot accurate every time without and stray in the bolt. Only thing i learned make sure your bolt is places firmly against the string before you shoot and never never never dry fire a crossbow... October 15, 2014
