Rated 4 out of 5 by Great buy for the money! I've used other crossbows but for the money this is worth it. Easy to assemble comes with all u need to get started minus broad heads. I out it together, sighted it in and the next day took a deer at 35 yds. The only negative I see is it doesn't have the pop past 35 yds that say the higher draw weight bows have and The stock is a bit short for a larger frame. However I do like the compact limbs so it's a trade off. Definitely will do the job and for the price you can't go wrong. I'll b interested to see how it holds up over the duration but as of now I'd buy it again! October 8, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Wouldn't buy again I bought this cross bow from dicks the first time I shot it the arrow went about 10 ft then I tried to cock the bow to shot it again the cable came off the pulley. Took it to a pro shop to get it put back on . The guy at the pro shop put it on . Then he tried to shot it the cable snapped and hit him in the face . October 6, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Crossbow for the Wife I searched for a few weeks for the perfect crossbow for my wife. She is 5' tall and will not shoot a rifle from fear of the recoil. This is the only one I could find at a decent price that is small in size (weighs only 6.5lb) and still shoots 300+fps. Assembly of the crossbow was pretty straightforward and took less than an hour. The only issue I had was the quiver mount that was included did not match what was pictured in the directions. It worked just fine after I was able to find it (hidden inside the bottom of the quiver with the arrow guide slid down covering it up). Me and the wife took it to our local archery shop the next morning and the first 2 shots were bullseyes with no adjustments to the scope needed. This package came with the crossbow, 4x32 scope, quiver, 3 arrows w/practice tips & a sling. Dick's was the only retailer that sold the Recruit with this setup. Definitely recommend for first time crossbow hunters who are wanting to get into bow hunting. September 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for the money This is a cheap bow, however, it does the job. One hole at 50yds. Shot through a 240lb buck at 35yds. I killed 4 deer with it last year. One was 82yds. All I can say is that even though this bow is cheaply made, it gets the job done. Good enough for a started crossbow. July 19, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad Product The cable snapped and the limbs are weak. I don't recommend this to anyone. July 2, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great first crossbow I received this as a Christmas present, and have been having fun with it since. I'm strictly a target shooter, and the accuracy on this, once dialed in, is quite impressive. The scope on this is better than the red-dot (and the magnification is a plus#. I have some concerns about the way the cable sits under the rail #Barnett has replaced the traditional slide with a static Teflon insert#, but so far, no problems other than the flattening of the cable where it is not served and rubs against the insert. Solidly built, decent Headhunter bolts, and although the included rope cocker works well for me, the option of a crank cocker #albeit pricey) is nice. January 22, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Quality I bought my crossbow in San Diego, CA. It happens to be the one and ONLY crossbow Dick?s carries in the store. The price ($300) I didn't think was too bad until I started putting it together and you could tell some of the pieces were poorly made with cheap material. The instructions for how to cock the crossbow were horrid at best. Being a beginner I ended up breaking the arrow guide holder (the little piece located under the scope mounting bracket) the very first day I used it. To make matters worse when trying to replace the broken part (since they do give you a second guide holder) it's nearly impossible to back the screws out because they use lock-tight on every single screw. Usually that wouldn't be a problem, except each screw uses the world?s smallest Alan Key for removal. So unless you tap the screw for removal you are guaranteed to strip it. I am seriously considering returning it. January 16, 2015
