Nike VR_S X Irons - (Steel) 4-AW 4.6 5 45 45
Long and sweet I will keep it simple these clubs are long and sound great. How long? how about a 240 yard 4 iron. Is that long enough for you? February 13, 2015
good look, good feel good look, feel, weighted comfortably, I have not had a chance to hit these clubs yet but am sure they will do fine, purchased as a gift for my son as graduation gift.... February 5, 2015
Awsome irons Bought 3 sets of these irons for myself and two boys. The ball explodes off the face. It will take some getting used to because these irons seem to be about one club longer, than what I was used to swinging. I'll update the review when I can get on the course. Right now there is about 20" of snow on the ground. February 3, 2015
Great set! These irons added at least twenty yards of distant! Very forgiving and feels great! They are great for slower swing speeds, and the ball has a higher trajectory which added distance for me! February 1, 2015
Great height soft landing I have actually lost about 5-10 yards on all my irons switching over to this set, for example my pitching wedge may only travel about 150 rather than 160, however the trajectory of my shots coming off of this club is unmatched by any I have ever swung. My shots are really sticking on the green now some even have a little backspin. January 24, 2015
very good irons at a great price These irons do fly higher and straighter Than most irons I have used.there are more widely known irons, but they cost 3 to 4 times as much. I am very satisfied with my purchase. January 21, 2015
Best irons overall I have played for 18 years, every week for the past 6 years. Have played many irons, but these are the favorite. January 12, 2015
Great irons for the price Just got this set . It is January and I have not used them yet . Planning to use them on vacation soon. They feel good weight wise and I am sure I will have no problem getting used to them. January 11, 2015
Very good irons. The heavier club head has already impacted my swing speed positively. Have tried them at the range so far. Have added at least 10 yards of distance over my old clubs. Off centre hits does not jar my hands. Clubs feel real good. Even helped in shaping shots. Looking forward to next season as it is winter here. Will recommend any day. December 8, 2014
Great iron set for mid-handicappers, and a great price to boot I bought this set about 3 months ago. Couldn't be happier. Played an old set of Wilson cavity backs for a number of years, and a set of Cleveland CB4's for a while after that. I haven't found these clubs to be any more or less forgiving on off-center hits, but I did notice a distance increase of 4-8 yards, due to the lower loft. What I love about these clubs is that they do a GREAT job of getting the ball in the air compared to other irons, and I rarely roll an approach shot through the green anymore. I hit TaylorMade, Cleveland, Callaway, and Ping irons along with this set on the monitor at the local Dick's, about 40 shots with each brand 7-iron. 36 of my 39 swings with this set reached a peak height of 30 yards or higher. First 8-iron I hit on the course, from 153 yards, stopped within 3 feet of the ball mark. A little tougher to keep the long irons to hold, but still much better than any other long iron or hybrid I've hit. Based on the lower lofts, as mentioned in an earlier review, the Approach Wedge is 48 degrees, so you'll need at least one wedge to round out your bag (I went with a 54 and a 58, for example). An extra gap wedge is a must for nearly any iron set you buy nowadays, but with this set I would suggest you get two. Long irons in this set are an option off the tee, as well. I haven't hit a driver or fairway wood the last 3 rounds I've played because these clubs are pretty straight and I can get the 4 iron out there around 240. Not coincidentally, I played all 3 rounds with the same ball. Bottom line, if you're struggling with your approach game, give these a look, I don't think you'll be disappointed. October 7, 2014
