Rated 5 out of 5 by Rawlings 12" Sandlot Series Glove 2014 My son's glove gave out at a tournament, so we had to scramble to get a good glove. Dick's always has what we need! This is a mid-range glove that seems to be working very well for my 10 (almost 11) year old son. We had it steamed so that it would be broken in. That did not quite do the trick. It was softer, but not soft enough. However, two days of some shaving cream and rubber bands had him ready to go. He is catching grounders and fly balls with ease and it seems to be a high quality glove. Time will tell how it holds up, but I suspect it will last a while depending on how fast my son grows. I would recommend this glove. Make sure, if you do get it steamed, that the person doing that knows what they are doing. It is explained that the person will steam it, then work with your son to get the right fit. They skipped that last step for us and that could be the reason it took another couple of days for the break in. June 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice glove I needed a new glove to play catch with my son in the yard and this has provided me the features I needed without having to spend all summer breaking in a new glove and breaking my budget. For the casual ballplayer, perfect size. May 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice product Good glove and a nice service to help break it in. April 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid glove for newbies and wash-ups alike I was a bit hesitant on buying this glove for my adult softball league because my brother - who plays college ball - said it's a cheap high schoolers glove. This may be true, but I took the plunge and couldn't be happier with the results. I'm actually using it in the outfield. I know I know. Probably the wrong glove to purchase given the size of the softball and my position on the field. However, it's been solid. Not one dropped ball and it's a lot easier to run with than a proper outfield glove. I enjoy the infield from time to time and let me tell you: this thing makes double plays for you! It's so easy to scoop the ball and get it outta your glove in one smooth motion. Very good purchase for the price.Actually, I lied, I COULD be happier (which is why it gets 4, not 5 stars). I kinda wish it was adjustable because it tends to get a little loose around the palm area. It's nothing a batting glove can't fix though! April 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Decent Glove I bought this glove to play catch with my wife. It's a decent glove. I haven't had a baseball glove since little league, so I really can't compare it to others. I wanted a quality, inexpensive glove, and Rawlings is brand that I trust. I'm still breaking it in. I'm not used to playing catch with a baseball (we usually play catch with softballs and my wife's soft ball gloves she has had since she played in high school), so I have to say that my hand does sting sometimes catching a hard throw. I don't know if this would be the case with all new gloves or not; my hand may just not be used to catching a hardball. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. It's very well made. April 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice versatile glove for high school player that plays multiple positions Purchased this glove for my son who plays some infield, outfield and pitcher. He did not feel like he needed to get different gloves as this one is a good size for all. Of course dad was pleased and got out of the store for slightly more than $100. We had the glove steamed and beaten up at the store. I think that it helped but it was still too stiff when we got home. I added my own old school break-in techniques and it was to the point that he used the glove in try outs. April 2, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sandlot Series - Great Value!!! It's well constructed, the break in process was quick, & the fit and feel is perfect. I plan on buying the 14" pattern in this series for my slow-pitch league. October 15, 2013
