As an employee who works there, I thought this would be the best bang for you buck rangefinder. In the store, it worked because its wide open, but once in the woods it started to become difficult to use. There were no differences between the angle compensator and straight line of sight values, and sometimes it would not even range the object (would here it thinking and then came back with a value of 0yrds). Spend the extra cash and get a better one.

Bought this product because it was $30 cheaper online than it was in the store, which made it a pretty good value. The range finder is nice & small, great for carrying out when hunting. The two buttons "POWER" & "MODE" are right next to each other and would be tough to distinguish with gloves on. There is very little delay when ranging objects. The dislayed range/angle are quite small and not bold, so they are sometimes difficult to read, depending on the backgound that is being ranged. The light that comes with this package is a great little light. Very bright for using 1 AA battery, with adjustable focus. Very handy.
Great value for the money. I would recommend this even for purchase in store at the list price

This is not what I was hoping for. I regret purchasing this range finder. Going to try and return. Optics stink, inconsistent distance read outs. I had six different distances on the same stationary tree while hunting.

Right out of the box with brand new batteries this rangefinder did not show over half of the ranging square and only partial numbers. This rangefinder was also difficult to see through and has poor optics.

Works great if all you are ranging is objects in a wide open field. Very hard to range objects in the woods, rarely picks up the object you want. Tried ranging a tree at around thirty yards it would not pick it up yet reading 9 yds. Have not had good luck in ranging anything in the woods. Spend the extra money. Trying to return in now.

Well I walked into the store looking for a rangefinder. I had my mind set on the $300 bushnells, but then I saw this halo sitting there with a blood light and a tether strap for $160. So i tried everyone over and over i even climbed onto the first step of a ladder and tried each one. I bowhunt mainly and this rangefinder has angle compensation and normal ranging which is great because the angle compensation mode gives you the range and the degree so you can't get it wrong. I recommend this rangefinder highly because it's small ,works instantly, and comes with accesorries. Also there is a $30 mail in rebate going right now which makes it cheaper thanks dicks.

I have tried quite a few different rangefinders and for the price the is the best one I have used. Yes, there are the fancy expensive ones but for anything $350 or less this is definitely the best one.
