I bought this jacket for my daughter. She is participating in a research project where she collects spiders in the swamps of Alabama. While it's not that cold in southwestern Alabama, she tells me it kept her warm & dry. It has also laundered well. It's also a much better fit for a busty young woman than most ladies jackets. :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by MN For "mild" temperatures only
This fleece "jacket" is not meant for cold temperatures. The material is thin, feels like fleece but will let the cold in very easy. Even with layered wear I dont think this is of any use under 50 degrees or so. Sure places with warmer weather it may be ok but for anything like Minnesota it doesn't stand a chance.
Its sized a little on the larger side so it wont fit snug but a bit loose. I also noticed on the ones I saw in the store the size labeling was faulty too. A "S" was certainly an "M" or larger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Looking for comfort Love the men's fit!!!
I am a woman who purchased the men's Columbia fleece jacket. I did this because men's jackets are not fitted. They are loose and comfortable. They have elastic sleeves to prevent the sleeves from falling over your wrist. I am sure that women's fleece jackets are as warm, but the men's are just more practical because of the fit. Also, men's color choices are more neutral and not such loud colors as women's.
