Good quality Helmet I ordered 12 and the packaging for the product was poor. Helmets had several scratches. December 3, 2014
Pads coming unglued This helmet was one of the more expensive ones but I was hoping the adjustable sizing would allow it to remain useful through a few little league seasons. The size adjustment has not disappointed but the padding leaves much to be desired. We lost the left earpad and the attachment point for the headband halfway through season two. Two more pads for the top of the head just came loose halfway through season three. Polyurethane glue has come to the rescue each time, but I really expected better quality for the price and considering the helmet was clearly designed with an intent to be used for longer than single size models. We will be changing brands once he outgrows this thing. October 5, 2014
Was a little surprised at the bad reviews My 10 year old son has used his for 4 seasons. Not a problem with it. As a matter of fact its the helmet other boys try to use when he's not due up. We like it so much that we bought one for a nephew who used it for a full season with no complaints. He had to switch when he changed teams and they had a required color scheme. So now that my 7 year old needs a helmet we went looking for the same product and were really surprised to see how many people had a bad experience with it. The only knock we ever had was color selection. October 2, 2014
Didn't even last a year My daughter made it through a fall and a spring season with this helmet and the dial never worked properly. We are into her second fall season and now the dial is completely broken and detached and the padding is falling out. She takes very good care of her stuff and for the price of this helmet we expected it to last longer than 2 seasons (equating to not even 6 months of use). I am heading back to the store right now in hopes that they will replace it for me. **Fingers crossed.** The concept of the helmet is great. If you do purchase one, make sure it is fully functional when you pick it out. It seems as though many of them are already damaged when you pick them out at the store or they are just being made with low quality materials. September 30, 2014
helmet appears to be a good product I just bought it so I hope it's a good product. Our last RIP IT helmet lasted only one season. We should be able to get atleast 3 seasons out of a helmet. September 16, 2014
Love the facemask. This is the second helmet we got. It will serve its purpose well. The first one that was shipped to us was used with a name and a phone number written in sharpie on the back of the helmet with no tags. How could someone actually ship it as new. September 3, 2014
Is the only helmet that fits, but the insides have fallen apart 3 times. This is the third time I have had to purchase this helmet. Since all the other helmets we have found are to large we keep getting forced into this model. The adjustable band is what we need for the right fit but it has fallen apart 3 times now. Hoping that is not the case with this one but seems like a product defect. Just wish the non-adjustable ones came in smaller sizes - or maybe its that the stores don't carry the smaller sizes cause they have the adjustable ones. August 16, 2014
Glue on padding fails My daughter wore her new helmet for one spring season and after a few weeks, one pad began to come loose. She then wore it for 2 summer games and 3 days of skills camp - the pad is now completely off! She loves the helmet, so I'll probably break out the glue gun and fix it myself, but for a name like Adidas and the price, I expected the helmet to be more durable. It's a great helmet...if the padding would stay in place! August 6, 2014
Adidas incite matte combo batting helmet I just bought my third one. Mainly because I wanted different colors. As far as the features here is the rundown. I have already gotten 2 & 1/2 years out of my first one and the glue on the ear pads is giving way but I used it an average of 40 times a year so I really don't have any complaints. I don't really use the adjustment dial for size because having it maxed out fits my head just about perfect. There was slight variation in the fit of the three helmets out of the box but close enough to easily live with. I like having a face mask and have been hit in the mask with foul balls and it did its job. As far as all the air holes I guess they are ok but I sweat really bad in very hot weather and I think that has something to do with the glue wearing out on the ear pads. So much for moisture wicking. The first helmet from about 3 years ago had a shiny paint job and so did the second from last year but now they are a dull matte which I can live with but prefer shiny. I don't use the chin strap. I feel I have gotten my money's worth. August 1, 2014
Great Helmet My son has had this helmet for 2 years and would still have it if it wasn't for a person on the team broke the adjustable. He loved this helmet. July 29, 2014
