Nice Nice bat for this price range comparatively. 10 yr old son loves the looks and feel. Good purchase. March 12, 2015
Great alternative to the Mako I bought this last fall for my 10-year old who plays travel ball. His previous bat was an Easton Reflex purchased when he was 7. We can immediately see the difference in the ball jumping off the bat and less vibration. This bat is well balanced - my son felt that the Mako was too end loaded. Great bat for the youth player who is more of a contact hitter. March 12, 2015
10u -decent Here's my take on bat. My boys and I. 12 & 10. The bat was bought for my 10 year-old. His hitting mechanics is almost perfect. So.he can make this bat sing we went out to the batting cages and put 300 hits on this bat. In one night. Now about 150 hits in a 3 hour period. He had maybe 1 vibration. Other then that. He zip them ballz off the bat. Now.. my 12 year-old also put about 75 hits on it and lit his hands up on the vibration. To the point he couldn't swing it any more....After a 1/4 turn on Each swing to properly break it in my 10 year-old took back over and made it sing again. So it up to the batter swinging style and his mechanism. If you're kid has a good batter swing and don't have the funds for $200 bat this the bat for you. But if he needs more work on the tee & cage. Then NO. It will sting and hurt his hands.. but I care what bat you buy. Teach your kid the proper way to hit. Then worry about bat.. February 21, 2015
Not worth the money I let my 8 year old pick this bat out while in store getting a new glove. Should have done some homework. The vibration off of this bat is far worse than any other bat. Also, if the ball is hit within 3 inches of the end it doesn't go anywhere sounds like a thump rather than a pop. February 9, 2015
Updated Review My now 9 year old used this bat last spring in recreation ball, travel ball, and All Stars in the summer. By summer that bad had lost some of its spring. By the fall baseball season the ball was no longer jumping off the bat. For a single recreation league season the bat is a very good value. But if you want a bat to last a bit longer you should look elsewhere. We're going back to Demarini, Easton, or maybe the new Louisville Slugger 3 piece bat for 2015. January 1, 2015
wrong description of bat I spoke with a Rawlings rep on the phone and this is a 2013 model bat, not 2014 as Dick's is advertising. The bat I purchased says 2013 on it, I feel that if it is 2 model years old It could be a little cheaper, but I haven't seen any composite bats for less than $125 anywhere, I purchased mine in the store 11/18/2014 November 18, 2014
So Far-So Good My 10-year-old is two games into this bat, and other than a pretty good sting (mitigated by a Easton Pro Style Shock Absorbing Pad), he likes it pretty well. September 30, 2014
Good price, good quality, but vibrates like mad My nine-year-old really like this bat and how well it worked in batting practice. It had a nice balance and swung smoothly. However, the lack of vibration reduction really causes issues during games. He became very tentative at the plate, not wanting to swing hard because the contact would make the bat vibrate far more than we expected, hurting his hands. If you're looking for a composite bat at a good price (especially for practice), this is it. But make sure you have something else if your kid swings hard. August 20, 2014
Everyone on the team was hitting homers Well, kinda...they're 5-7 year olds. As soon as our son brought the bat out to the game, all of the other kids were using it when they were up to bat. It really did seem like they were hitting it farther. For this young of an age range, at this price point, this bat is awesome. August 6, 2014
Awesome bat! My son loves this bat . Light ,great pop and balance . August 5, 2014
