Product Information:

The longest driver ever from TaylorMade, the SLDR gives golfers the ultimate experience in customization. The SLDR sliding weight moves forward and back, for up to thirty yards of shot shape adjustment. Players can find the ideal lie and adjust center of gravity (CG) lower and more forward to generate high launch and incredible distance. The loft angle also adjusts up to 1.5°, making the TaylorMade Men's SLDR Driver ideal for all golfers.

  • SLDR is the longest driver from TaylorMade
  • SLDR provides golfers with two elements of adjustability to get the best performance off the tee - slider weight plate and adjustable loft-sleeve on hosel
  • 21 SLDR weight positions allow players to manipulate both the center of gravity and the lie angle of the driver
  • 20-gram SLDR weight can be moved closer to the front of the driver head, adjusting the center of gravity (CG) lower and more forward
  • Adjusting the CG customizes shot shape/type up to 30 yards to match any golfer's swing stroke
  • Low and forward center of gravity generates high launch, fast ball speeds and lower spin for improved overall distance, making the SLDR the lowest spinning driver from TaylorMade
  • Increase or reduce loft angle up to 1.5° with 12-position loft-sleeve on hosel for optimum trajectory
  • Silver button-back combined with subtle crown improves alignment and increases confidence at address
  • Charcoal gray crown blends both modern and classic design for a unique look out on the course

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 130 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Legit I had the R1 Driver and hit it decent but I never loved the look, feel or sound of the club. It was fairly long but I liked the adjustments I could make to it more than anything. Then this one came out and I wasn't happy that a new driver came out just a few months after the R1. So i decided to hit the SLDR and it felt awesome! Much like my old Titleist R driver. I really like the look of it. The best part is that the SLDR so easy to adjust. Takes less than 10 seconds! I took my R1 in there and the longest R1 shot i hit was around 276. I hit a few with the SLDR and I hit a couple shots at 293 and 292. Overall, it really is a great club. Taylore made marketing is ridiculous but they make great quality clubs. August 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by love it Owned a R11 first generation thought with a little help from the adjustments I could finally hit the draw I have always wanted. ( big disappointment ) went back to Ping just regain lost yardage. Gave this club a shot and it delivers. Maintained my carry distance and gained considerable roll since I am now hitting a nice draw for the first time in my golfing career. Love it. September 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Feel I bought the R1 a few months ago and could never seem to hit it consistently so I would always revert back to my old R9. I am not crazy about Taylormade coming out with a newer product so quickly after introducing the R1 but I find this driver is a lot easier to hit and is so much more forgiving than the R1 not to mention the extra distance. The club also looks much nicer than the R1.Overall I would recommend this if you are looking for more distance and a forgiving club. Has a great sound and when you hit a good it has good feedback. Rated 5 out of 5 by All i can say is wow! I have played 3 rounds with this driver. First round was getting used to it and only hit 2 solid drives. After adjusting the loft to 8 and middle on the slider, that's when I hit one of the better drives with the club 2nd round much better but wasn't hitting it consistently enough to have a feel for total distance. 3rd round wow. I hit driver on 11 holes and hit fairway 9 times. my average distance was 20 more yards as I out hit my group, which usually that never happens, I average around 270 before and now im close to 300 (5 drives past 300 today), I blocked two drives to the right which were still long as this club is very forgiving unless you are just shanking it all over the place. I am an average golfer. In the past calendar year, my best round was 75 (only time in the 70s) and average 88 with my worst round of 95 in this entering my 5th year playing. My friends are all good so I need what it takes to keep up. Now if I can only putt more consistently!! September 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great club and great service I decided it was time to get a new driver so I went to Dick's to see what they had. After looking at many drivers, I wanted to try the TaylorMade SLDR driver. I spoke to the sales person and he was very kind, he asked the shaft type, the loft, etc. He put a club together for me, put me on the machine and after hitting several balls I decided on this driver with much assistance and input from the sales person. He was fantastic. Very friendly, knew golf and was able to help me make the right decision. I played the next day with the new club and have added 20 yards onto my drives. Thanks for all your help. Rated 5 out of 5 by Consistent, Long and easy to Hit Have been using an old model Mizzuno for a few years andWOW what a difference. This club is all its cracked up to be. I am consistently 20-30 longer than before and can honestly say I had my best day off the tee ever last week. Had it tuned in at the store and never looked back. Awesome Job Taylormade! I am going to destroy my three buddies on our golf trip! April 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Happy camper Like the feel, avg about 250,from neutral 1 notch for a draw, didn't suite me so back to neutral and was fine .dont play much golf but will play more now hitting more fairways off the tee with this club October 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This driver helped me with set up and distance The SLDR driver has great flexability and features. The shaft was about 3/4" shorter than my old driver, but I hit mother earth too much with it. The shorter shaft and club head features have helped me improve my swing path and plane. The draw and fade adjustability helped straighten my drives, adding distance and avoiding the right fairway ruff. August 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Driver, great help with fit! First of all, the driver is as advertised - easy to hit, longer, and the fitting process is well worth the time. Carol (the Golf Pro) took me through the process of finding the right shaft, then tweaked the other adjustments to get me dialed in on launch angle, spin rate, and flight - she took me from a (usually) mild fade to a gentle draw that I've been able to repeat on the course. Oh, and I (no kidding) increased my carry 24 yards from my old R11 to the SLDR, and 30 yards overall. If I were reading this, I'd be skeptical too, but it's true. Carry went from 237 to 261, with overall distance of 272 (average). Spending time with Carol was well worth the extra process, and I'm back to having the chance to reach Par 5s in 2. May 24, 2014
