Product Information:

The longest driver TP ever from TaylorMade, the SLDR gives golfers the ultimate experience in customization. The SLDR sliding weight moves forward and back, for up to thirty yards of shot shape adjustment. Players can find the ideal lie and adjust center of gravity (CG) lower and more forward for high launch and incredible distance. The loft angle adjusts up to 1.5° making the TaylorMade Men's SLDR TP Driver ideal for all golfers.
FEATURES:

  • SLDR is the longest TP driver ever from TaylorMade
  • SLDR provides golfers with two elements of adjustability to get the best performance off the tee - slider weight plate and adjustable loft-sleeve on hosel
  • 21 SLDR weight positions allow players to manipulate both the center of gravity and the lie angle of the driver
  • 20-gram SLDR weight can be moved closer to the front of the driver head, adjusting the center of gravity (CG) lower and more forward
  • Adjusting the CG customizes shot shape/type up to 30 yards to match any golfer's swing stroke
  • Low and forward center of gravity generates high launch, fast ball speeds and lower spin for improved overall distance
  • Increase or reduce loft angle up to 1.5° with 12-position loft-sleeve on hosel for optimum trajectory
  • Silver button-back combined with subtle crown improves alignment and increases confidence at address

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best driver they have made yet I have had every Taylor driiver for the past 6years and this is by far the easiest one ever to adjust and hit. Spend the extra $ and get the TP model much better shaft November 15, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Doesn't work for me! I don't know what it is, but I can't hit this club for the life of me. I have an R9 and have no problems hitting it, but switching back and forth between these two clubs is like night and day. This club does not work for me! April 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great feel driver This driver allows my husband to hit the ball 30 yds further May 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by worst club I have ever Hit I put this Driver to the test, Taylromade SLDR -V- Clone, With the exception of the clone has a Glue in shaft, Their was no difference in performance, Ball flight, consistency, accuracy. Could not tell the difference which Golf ball was hit with which club, I hit 25 balls with each driver using the ProV1. The SLDR was a waste of $499.99 Sold the driver on eBay, took a hit on price. Save your money, Get the Clone Driver and save $400.00 I found a Guy in Scottsdale who builds custom clubs, he does swing speed analysis, Shaft selection, he opened my eyes to the prices, and how much I can save. For what I sold the TM for, I also purchased 3 & 5 wood matching my set. February 9, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Driver standard accessories were not provided This driver was shipped without a head cover and without the proprietary adjustment tool. These basic accessories are expected with the purchase of a new club, even if the club is sold at a discount. The driver is as promised and I am satisfied with the club. April 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by 1st New driver in quite some time Looks great over the ball. Sounds solid on contact. Haven't played with the weight system yet. I hit it great in the "default" setting. Only complaint is....well when did you start buying a driver and not get a head cover? Or the tool needed to adjust the club? April 25, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by TaylorMade SLDR TP Driver Bought this driver to replace an old, trusty Nicklaus Airmax that had been in my bag for over 12 years. Biggest reason for the purchase was to get an adjustable club and the SLDR gets an A in terms of ease and ability to customize. The sliding sole weight makes the desired difference provided you can square the ball up on the face. Mis-hits are still subject to gear effect and the weight is not going to help much there so if you can't hit the center often, you won't get a ton of benefit from the slider. The ball comes out extremely hot but low. Much lower than I am used to but there is a significant gain in roll so overall distance is greater provided you do not need a specific amount of carry. I bought a 9.5 degree and immediately bumped that up 1.5 degrees and got back to a similar ball flight that I see with 9 degree drivers. The marketing suggests something along those lines - ease of play given higher loft yet lower launch distance - so I would say TaylorMade accomplished many goals with this offer. I sprung for the TP based on the upgraded shaft but I've never seen a Fujikura product underperform so I'd bet the entire SLDR line is aces. I get a bit of a "stiff" feel off the face on some shots but not so much that I would consider it a problem. Bottom line, the club is long and I think most players will see a distance increase if they can dependably find the center of the clubface. I would not expect to see a big performance uptick for the beginner with this club. April 16, 2015
