Customer Reviews:

Camp Chef Professional Flat Top Griddle 5 5 1 1
It is big and heavy I bought this to go with the Camp Chef three burner unit at Costco this spring. (The Costco special included a square cast iron pot and griddle combo.) The "Flat Top" is exactly what it says. It is 40 pounds of steel for the top of the stove. It is not maintenance free. It requires seasoning and oiling. It is engineered with heat diffusers welded to the bottom side. Does it work? Absolutely. I've used it twice. It works like any other flat top more commonly found in restaurants. The first effort was some easy potatoes and onions to go with a meat dish from the oven. The second effort went over with great reviews from extended family. After going to a "Mongolian BBQ" where everything is cooked on a gigantic round flat top, I did my best to duplicate it. On went some thinly sliced meat, then a huge pile of veggies including cabbage, onions and bell peppers. Poured on some homemade seasoned oil and tossed around with a spatula. My next effort will be Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches for 14 next week. If you are using this on a Camp Chef, keep the burners a lot closer to low than anything else. Anything above medium low will burn your food and potentially induce a warp. June 18, 2014
