Rated 4 out of 5 by Mixed feelings on this boot I purchased these boots back in September and after using them for 87 days in mud and water, hot and cold weather day in and day out. I experienced a slight hole where a seam along side of the boot had come apart. I returned the boots and exchanged for another pair. SAME BOOT. After checking the boot over I noticed a seam that was either repaired or a defect in the boot. I returned that pair for another. They have been good boots and I was willing to give them another chance but definitely there are issues with this particular boot. I work construction and install underground utilities where I'm in a ditch for 10 hrs a day. I have put these boots through alot and they have held up for the most part. So it's a 50/50 chance I would take on them. If you were to use them in a lesser role then yes I would recommend them. December 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good boots I've never really had to use the buckle strap so I won't review that. I usually tuck my pants into the boot so never needed the strap. What I will review though is the warmth and dryness of the boot. I went hunting yesterday at a new stand. I normally cross a creek by stepping on the rocks to get across, but due to a lot of rain yesterday, the water level was way over the rocks I normally use. I decided not to be a pansy and test out my new boots. Water was about 8 inches deep. Made it through fine. Socks stayed perfectly dry. About 2 hours after getting to my stand, the cold started setting in on my body. My hands and face were freezing, but my feet were still exceptionally warm. I was surprised because I didn't think these boots offered much for warmth but I was wrong. And I was only wearing my regular Hanes ankle socks. I forgot to put on my new Field and Stream carbon socks. So I can't imagine how warm my feet would be if I wore my new socks. I am however disappointed to read these other reviews about how the soles peel away and their feet get wet. I hope that doesn't happen to me. I will update a review if it eventually does. By the way, I've worn these boots a few times in the fall, but yesterday was my first time testing them out in the rainy/snowy/freezing temperatures. December 10, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by I wouldn't buy again As mentioned already the buckle is useless and the soles separate leaving you with wet feet. I wore mine for half a season before I had issue, but I hadn't used them in water until this particular day so the problem could have occurred sooner. I was on a two day hunt out of town and was crossing a creek on a cold morning approaching my stand. My left boot leaked enough water to soak my sock in the few steps it took to get across stream. I used a sealant to try a repair but it hasn't sealed them completely. November 20, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't waste your money on these. I saw many reviews of these boots and the most common complaints were the useless buckle on the cinch strap and the soles separating from the boot. I figured a few unlucky folk got bum boots but what are the chances I'll have the same problems? It turns out the answer is 100%. I knew the buckle was useless but that's not really a big concern. The soles peeling off after 4 uses was however. I decided to Shoo Goo them and see how they held up since I still had 25 days left on my 30 day store return policy. Well, I wore them today and had wet feet after fishing for 20 minutes. The sole peeling off was not causing it to leak and my fix held up just fine (Shoo Goo is an awesome multi-purpose sealant/adhesive), so I don't know where they're leaking. Don't care. Returning them tomorrow. Please don't make the same mistake I did. If you read this or see other reviews telling you about the soles separating, please believe them. Don't waste your time and money on these boots. October 9, 2013
