Customer Reviews:

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Did not live up to it's name This was my first purchase of Merrell shoes and since I had heard such good things about them I was expecting to be thrilled. Unfortunately, the shoe was too large in the toe bed and missed my arch completely. It was quite snug at the heel which is good for my narrow heels, but the rest of the shoe was too large. I normally wear a size 8 in most shoes and so I got the 8 because I knew I'd be wearing socks with this shoe. But the arch support was off for my foot. Not sure why that happened, but I did not like the fit so I returned them. Sorry Merrell. I have an old pair of Nike trail shoes I love and so I'll stick with them. July 4, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by My Daughter Loves Them I purchased these Merrell Waterproof Hiking Shoes as a Christmas present for my daughter. She tried them on in a store and asked for them for Christmas. She wanted something that was comfortable and waterproof that she could wear like sneakers for walking in the winter. She has been wearing them and is very happy with them so far. Hopefully they are well made and will last her more than one winter. The price wasn't cheap even on sale. There wasn't much of a choice in colors but comfort was more important than color. If the color choice and price was better they would get 5 stars. Merrell makes a good product. January 12, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice hiking shoe I have only hiked once with these shoes so far, about a 5 mile winter hike but a warmer day so some snow and very icy patches and some very muddy interior trails and they were great. They kept my feet dry and cleaned up easily. I usually wear a size 8, sometimes 8 1/2 depending on the kind of shoe, and I purchased a size 9 because I have wide feet and will be wearing padded or double socks. The only reason I didn't rate them higher is because I haven't gotten to use them much yet. January 24, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too small I ordered a half size larger than what I normally wear in Merrell's and they were still way too small. October 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lightweight and comfortable This shoe is extremely lightweight and very comfortable yet sturdy. I did a lot of walking and my feet never hurt. February 24, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not as comfortable as I hoped for Merrell has always been a brand that is comfortable for me. This particular pair of shoes is not, however I kept them in hopes that they will break in. I purchased them because Dick's was offering free shipping and free return shipping. I definitely would not have purchased them if this offer was not available. January 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Almost Perfect The heal area is great for absorbing impact, support, and keeping the foot from "wobbling" side to side. I wish there was more cushion in the metatarsal/toe area. As a result, you must use heavy weight hiking socks with these shoes. Average athletic socks and light weight hiking socks are insufficient. I also wish there was a bit more support and cushion in the mid-foot/arch area. Overall, these are pretty good shoes. If I were to purchase these again, I would buy 1/2 size larger than my normal shoe size and use heavy hiking socks. I use these for long dog walks on flat asphalt. I am searching for the perfect travel/hiking shoe. If these had more cushion and could be worn with lighter weight socks - they would be perfect for me. December 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the hiking shoes as much as the hiking boots Usually get the hiking boots but thought I'd try the hiking shoes. Merrell Moab is the only shoes I've been wearing for the past 3 yrs November 6, 2013
