Rated 3 out of 5 by Pretty good... I own a pair of Mizuno Prophecy, the first generation. I have to say these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned!! I'm disappointed in the P-3 shoes. They don't have as much room in the toe box, so my feet hurt after trying them out for a day @ work. I'm a RN & on my feet a lot. These didn't cut it. Really wished they would have worked out, but I ended up returning them. May 28, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not the same shoe! I am so disappointed. This purchase was my 4th pair of Mizuno Wave Prophecy. I am a runner and was elated with the Prophecy 1 and 2's. So I didn't hesitate to buy the 3's, as I am starting running training for my next marathon. Aesthetically, these are the best looking prophecy to date, however, they are NOT like their predecessors. I immediately noticed I had to buy a half size larger than the ones previous. After one run, I knew they were definitely more narrow and having a wide toe box was what I loved most about the older models. The rubber seems far stiffer and they have a stiff feel to them, and have lost the cushioned bounciness of the old. They didn't seem to have that rolling feel to them in the stride, so I looked at them against the old and it was clear that the sole of the old ones curved upward toward the toes where the new ones were quite straight, with no curve. That is what made it seem like my gait wasn't rolling off my toes, but cutting off more abruptly. I also noticed that the bottom of my heels felt sore that night. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and hoped breaking them in would help (although that was never an issue with my first 3 pair) so I wore them for 2 more runs and suffered through both. The pain in my heels has intensified and the soles of my feet feel stone bruised. I am extremely disappointed. This shoe was WAY too expensive to be just another cool looking cross trainer to wear to the gym, especially since I had to go on-line to find an old pair (of Prophecy 2) to buy to replace these for my running training. ***Mizuno: DONT MESS WITH A GOOD THING and don't go getting cocky and raising your prices when it's still such a new shoe and was already one of the most expensive on the market. I gave them 2 stars because they are at least pretty. January 22, 2014
