Mizuno Men's Wave Inspire 10 Running Shoe 4.4 5 9 9
Love the shoe, but breaks down/wears out fast I had the Inspire 9 and liked it, ran a full marathon in it. Got the Inspire 10 and right out of the box it felt great, virtually no break in. Problem is, after barely a couple hundred miles of training, the bottom of the shoe started to give out/crack just behind the toes. Once that started to happen, the top "bent" in and gave me a nasty blister on the top of my middle toes. Bleed right through the socks. Had to toss the shoes. Tried a different brand and that shoe felt heavy and wore me out and never felt good, so I reluctantly bought another pair of Inspire 10 because now I was only two weeks away from running a half marathon. Again, right out of the box they felt great, but by now I was in tapering mode. Ran the race and didn't do very well. The new Inspire 10's felt fine, but I think the interruption in training from the blister and trying to break in the different brand of shoes before going back to the Inspire 10's took the edge of my stamina and it cost me on race day. Bottom line, good shoe, but buy two pair so you have the second one ready to go when the first ones wear out. October 21, 2014
Excellent stability shoe After 2 ankle reconstructions and plantar fasciitis this shoes provides the necessary stability. October 13, 2014
Great shoes As an over pronator who loved the earlier version of this shoe, I needed a replacement when the old ones needed to go. These offer the same wonderful support but in a much lighter shoe that I can look forward to finishing another half marathon in. September 23, 2014
Great shoes, fast delivery I tried on these shoes at a DICK'S in Gaithersburg, but they only had 1 shoe in my size. I ordered online at the store and got them 3 days later. They fit and feel great, and I am pretty pleased. September 8, 2014
Mizuno Men's Wave Inspire 10 Only have had shoes a few days. The original pair was ordered in the same size I have worn for YEARS, but was too short by a half size..the toe box is wide so I'm not sure if that was why it was designed shorter? But I fixed that by purchasing a 1/2 size bigger. The shoe feels very light in your hand but very substantial when running....My first long run was several minutes faster than recent ones.....so it's looking good for these shoes September 8, 2014
one great shoe This shoe is one of the best running shoe I have owned. It is light, but has surprising cushioning. After three initial long runs (6 to 8 miles), it has provided super support as well. I liked my original pair of Inspire 9s, the first shoe I bought when I returned to running a couple of years ago. I was initially skep[tical about the revised version since weight had been cut rather sharply. However, this shoe is better. The welded upper is clean and avoids potential hot spots and the new tongue design stays put without over tightening the laces. It is a much improved version of an already great shoe. My only complaint is that the trim makes it look as if the shoe is dirty. Odd choice. August 30, 2014
Awesome Great price, been wearing this brand and model for 10 years now and they are lighter and still just as comfortable. August 30, 2014
Another great pair of shoes for flat feet These are the 8th pair I've had, and are great for flat feet. I only wish Dick's carried more of a selection in colors. August 25, 2014
Downgrade from the Inspire 10 I train and run in 1/2 and full marathons and loved the Inspire 9's. I ran through four pair and have another on order from an Amazon affiliate who still stocks them. One of the best running shoes ever. The Wave Paradox is also great shoe I use for longer runs (16+) due to its slightly better forefoot cushioning. The Inspire 10 is a step backwards for me. On the first run I experienced discomfort in the balls of my feet less than 3 miles in. It was as if there were little to no cushioning at all. I tried to just wear them around the house and had the same issue. I am so disappointed with this as the Inspire's are by go to daily trainer. I'll have to find a different shoe until the Inspire 11's are released. I retuned the shoes to Dick's and picked up another pair of Paradox's and a pair of New Balance 1260 V4's. I ran 8 in the NB yesterday and they are pretty good as well. Not sure if I would run a full marathon in them but for a1/2 they seem OK. August 25, 2014
