Rated 5 out of 5 by best real for the money Cant get a better reel for the money. This reel is made very well and the T-wing system is no joke. Im switching all my reels to Diawa Tatulas and Lews BB1 Pros..Best reels for $200 and less May 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME!!!! So living in Florida its easy to find a spot to fish almost daily, especially when you have a golf course lake that boarders the back of the house. So my first non-Wal-Mart rod/reel I got when I moved to Florida in 1986 was a Daiwai. It lasted me 26 years like a champ. So I bought this as a treat for myself with the matching 7'1' Daiwai Tatula MH rod. I could not be happier as it is like spinning air. Matched with the Rod you can feel the slightest touch like when the lure hits the bottom or goes over a big rock, etc... I have caught everything from bluegill to medium tarpon and yes we have lakes and fresh water canals with tarpon# and it handles everything like a dream. This is my first real baitcaster and the "T" system does what is says. I flick my wrist with 30Lb test and it flies. And there is always the first look a friend or family gives me the first time I let them cast and reel it in. Its always the same, "It doesn't feel like there is even line on it". So I couldn't be a happier, more satisfied customer and could not recommend this more!!! Also, my 9 year old son can easily cast and set up when he changes baits with no issues! Buy it, and love it!!!! November 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by What a reel !!!!!! My first Daiwa reel and what an impression it has made. The reel was super smooth out of the box and the magnetic brake has been flawless. I did however up graded the plastic bushings on the worm gear and added extra bearings to the handle. This tatula can hold its own to other reels in its class. You won't be disappointed with it. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great reel I am a shimano guy and decided to branch out. I have been impressed with this reel. Once the settings get adjusted, it casts very well. For the price, it's a great reel! November 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by best reel ever fish i love this reel would not buy a reel cheaper than a 100 anymore September 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Even more value then I expected I have had an opportunity to put this reel through it's paces this past week as I have just returned from a seven day vacation to the Northwoods of Wisconsin. I loaded thirty pound braid on this reel and fished for bass and northern pike with all kinds of artificial lures from spinner baits to buzzbaits to spoons and crankbaits of assorted weights and sizes. This has, without a doubt, been the most reliable and smoothest working reel I have ever owned. I am seventy-one years old and have been fishing since I was a little child so I feel I know true value when I see it. August 2, 2014
