Comments about Fitness Quest Bosu Trainer:

being a runner I thought this was an over rated excercise product. I found muscles that I didn't know I had!! I use a weighted medicine ball when I do the dvd and I can't believe how toned I have become! After three kids and being in my 40's I found my abs again!

Most versatile piece of exercise equip!!
By New gym rat from Ohio on 2/9/2009
Pros:
Core-building, Easy Storage, Easy To Setup, Easy To Use, Quiet Operation, Strengthens, Sturdy
Best Uses:
Core-strengthening, General Fitness, Performance Training, Strength Training
Describe Yourself:
Frequent Exerciser

Comments about Fitness Quest Bosu Trainer:

I have become a gym rat and use the BOSU every day. I generally use it flat side up - balancing on one or both feet, weightlifting, curls, medicine ball catches with the trainer and squats. I also do a yoga-type plank while holding it flat side up with my hands at 9:00 and 3:00 positions. From the plank position I keep my body tight and roll my shoulders right to left, strengthing my core. Using the same position, I do push ups. I've used it 6 days a week for three weeks and the core-strength improvement and ankle stregth have been amazing. When balancing on the BOSU all of your center muscles are being used to keep your body still. This is likely the best use of one's money when it comes to exercise equipment! I'm now purchasing one for use at home.

30 second intervals and three reps while standing on platform and swinging as in golf.

A consistant golf drive requires both balance and a golf club.

Comments about Fitness Quest Bosu Trainer:

The BOSU is one of the most versatile and fun pieces of equipment you can have- a staple! I literally am able to exercise each part of my body w/ just a BOSU and a couple of dumbbells, all the while engaging my core and practicing balance. If you have little space, you can get a lot done w/ it, and the video included is really great.

This product is awesome! I too have a personal trainer and we use this all of the time for squats with resistance bands, dumbells, body bars, anything and everything! It helps you improve balance and stablization by keeping your core engaged and everything tight (don't forget to breathe though!). I just love it and it will leave your thighs burning.

Comments about Fitness Quest Bosu Trainer:

I really needed something new to try to get my fitness level back up to where it should be. I needed something with all around qualities and this product has it. Every time I use the product I can feel it working and also for some time after I complete the workouts. At first you might think it won't work or it's just another scam but after using it to me it' not. I really enjoy working out with mine there are no other products on the market with this kind of workout (Mine came with a Total Body DVD and bought a Skiing/Snowboarding one too). At first it might be hard getting yourself stable on it but that's the true challenge and helps build your core muscles. Oh it gets your heart rate going too.

Comments about Fitness Quest Bosu Trainer:

I have a personal trainer at the gym and this is one of the products that we use on a regular basis. I love it! At first it can be a little hard (intimidating) but if you are into a challenge and want the most from your training then I say this is it. I use it to do squats with and without weights which diffently tightens those core muscles, wonderful at keeping you focused on the stabilization of those core muscles. I use it for cardio that alows me to get my heart rate up by starting with one foot on the bosu and the other on floor coming up on the bosu but never allowing the other foot to touch bringing it towards my abdomen and then twisting at waist. I also do a low squat with one foot on the bosu and stance will be with the other foot on the floor staying squated low and still low as I come up onto the bosu (on my strength training days I will incorporate weights while using the bosu). There isn't any impact on the joints, I had weak knees but since I started using this it has strengthend my knees. I love to do the hop across the bosu where only one foot is touching the middle when you are crossing to other side. You can increase the intensity by squating lower which really will give those glut muscles a burn and the thighs. I know that this product is awesome and I am purchasing one now for my in home gym. I have to be honest but I have used and have alot of workout equipment in my home also but I have never written a review on any product before. (That is saying alot)! The stability of the bosu is awesome doesn't move around oh ya and better yet it is wonderful for doing ab workouts as well with or without weights. I will use the weighted ball alot on the bosu. I could go on and on. Thanks for this wonderful product it is very versitle in so many ways!!!!!!
