Rated 3.5 out of 5áby 15 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5áby Love the Polar Loop I love the Polar Loop. I have never worn an activity tracker but I compared this to: * Fitbit Force * LifeTrak * NIke Fuelband * several others In the end, I picked the Polar Loop over the others for 2 reasons. First it's waterproof, so you can shower and swim with it, and it can connect to a wearable heart rate monitor. Everything else about it, is pretty much the same as other wearable activity trackers. It's very comfortable, although I did have to cut the band 3x to make it fit....a bit of annoyance, but it shouldn't be a show-stopper. Be careful though, those pins you have to remove are spring loaded and can shoot across the room. I charge mine twice a week - I have gone 5 days before seeing the LOW BAT notification, but I like to charge every few days to sync my data. I know some of the devices don't need the cable to sync data, but again this is not a show stopper for me. Other than for charging/syncing, I have not taken the device off for 2 months other than to charge/sync . I think it's stylish...people are always asking me what it is. Some people complain the button only works 1/2 the time, that just isn't so - if the back of the unit is pressed against your skin the button works all the time...I think this feature prevents the unit from operating if it's not being worn. Also some people have claimed the heart rate monitor (H7 chest strap# doesn't pair well - I find that if you take water and put it on your chest and wet the back of the strap it works 100% of the time. I work out using the HRM about 10-12 minutes a day during the week and 30-40 minutes during the weekend - it makes the calorie count VERY accurate and I like seeing the reports about what Zones I've been working out in...it allows me to target my heart rate for maximum effect #FIT vs. FAT burning) during my workouts. Their website in January was very buggy - but since February I haven't had any problems and I'm very happy. These things are supposed to motivate you, and I can tell you that at 9:00 PM if I see I'm at 9,000 steps and haven't hit my goal - off the couch I go for a walk with the dog until I hit GOAL or 10,000 steps....so it's really upped my activity level! So why the 4 stars...the problems I had in January with the website...I just have to ding them a point. February 26, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5áby dont try too many hoops to even get to wear it and never really got to try it had to go thru too many steps to even put then item on February 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Features This product is very comfortable and secure. It tracks your steps, calories burned, sleep and much more. I LOVE it! Researched all other bands and I KNOW I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!!!! January 6, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5áby Not Good I been doing research on fitness trackers for awhile. It came down to Polar Loop or Fitbit force. I decided to get the Polar loop. The reason why I got it was because It was water proof and I am a swimmer. I took it back in 2 days. I did not like how you have to cut the band to make it fit on your wrist. I also could not find the App. I am very disappointed with the product. January 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Polar Loop is excellent! After seeing a lot of negative impression on the internet, I thought I'd give my initial thoughts on the Loop after having owned and worn it for the last 4 days. I have used many activity trackers previously including the body media, the Basis B1 band, and Fit Bit For me, the Polar Loop is the best. The Polar Loop seems to be an accurate step counter. I feel the data it collects is extremely useful. I like that it sets an activity goal as this is more meaningful then just striving for a certain amount of steps each day. Another thing I noticed, the activity goal is not 1:1 equal to total steps so the band is taking other things into consideration. I like how there are three different lifestyles you can choose from to set the activity target with so that you can pick one that will challenge you to be more active. I also picked up a H7 HRM and I am impressed on how easy it is to sync the band with the HRM. I like that when I sync my band with polar flow I can see a detailed heart rate graph. I also like that I can have the activity monitor use the data from the HRM- this is something no other monitor on the market can do and this is a HUGE benefit! Polar flow seems to be a great work in progress as I can see all my activity and how it breaks down between laying, sitting, standing, and moving. It also shows my total sleep clearly. I never found the fitbit sleep data to be that accurate so I do not mind that it just shows total sleep. I confirmed the inaccuracy of the fitbit by comparing it to my Zeo sleep monitor (as you can see, I am a monitoring addict!). Another plus- love how this thing is water proof. It is great that I do not need to take it off before showering and can continue to monitor myself. Things I would change about the Loop: -I would like to see Polar release a WP8 app after the android app as the WP market is growing. Additionally all Nokia WP will support Bluetooth 4.0 LE by the end of the year (Nokia WP make up 90% of all WP). - More batter life would of course be a plus. I wore for 4 days and got the 10% battery life warning - Would like an option to keep heart rate on display without having to push the button to see. I know this would take away battery life but it would be a nice option. - I would like to see the Polar Flow link up with my Withings scale so that I would not have to put in my body weight manually. - Would be great if next version could monitor stairs climbed like the fitbit I will update this review as I continue to use Loop. Overall, I am happy with this purchase and plan to use loop over my other monitors! November 30, 2013
