Rated 5 out of 5áby As advertised I've been to the range a dozen times and played a round with these. The distance is as advertised - hot off the face with a big sweet spot. Even shots off the toe have a chance. The only trouble was around the greens. If you're like me and chip-and-run to uphill hole locations with your lower-lofted irons (say 7i or 8i) they are VERY sensitive! Once you get used to it though, no problem. I seem to hit much fewer thin shots with these, which has been a huge boost to my game. One other thing - these clubs feel pretty heavy to me, which I actually like. I feel more in control of the club head. Great game improvement irons that should last me a long time. I'm very happy with their forgiveness, quality, and good traditional looks. April 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Really impressed with these irons! My previous set of irons was a set of 2002 Big Bertha irons which I loved, but it was time to upgrade. I really love the feel of these while hitting them at Dick's. I was really aware of where I was hitting the ball on the club without even looking at the impact tape. When I took them to the range for the first time, I was amazed at the ball flight and distance I was getting out of these irons! I normally hit my pitching wedge about 110-120 yards and was hitting this one 130 -135 yards! I highly recommend these irons if you like Callaway products and are looking to upgrade your irons! Rated 4 out of 5áby Hot is right My spring/fall/set . . Hogan blades, 5 iron 135-145. Winter set TM-R7s 5 iron 140 -150. Callaway 5 iron 160 plus .... Hmm,,,, checked my loft. Hogan , 30 dg. R7 26 dg. Callaway 22dg ! That loft is 3 iron territory on older clubs. But the shorter shafts mean a little more control. And the balance of these latest Xs is pretty darn good. Feel for a cast cavity back is exceptional. And the ''Hot Clubface '' does put the advertised pop on your ball. I can hit high ,low, draw and fade with these irons. Not bad. My only gripe. Pitching from 50 yards on in. Due to that same hot poppin face I have real trouble with distance control, and run out. So I switched out the a - wedge and p-wedge for a 52dg Hogan and a 48 dg Cleveland after a thorough search of the gear in my garage. Problem solved. It's a shame to. Because through this whole set [ based on club loft ] I can hit these higher in the air than anything else I have in the club barrel in the garage. Newbies to the sport should really check these out. With this set and a lesson or two you'll be on your way. Mid handicapper's will love em. Skilled players will be surprised a cast cavity back performs/feels this good. And the now lowered price , what a steal. January 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Have always used Callaway Products I purchased if Big Berthas about 10 years ago and was amazed at the overall improvement I saw in my game. I figured ten years was a good life for clubs and I figured it was time for an upgrade. I went in to Dicks just browsing and left with these wonderful irons. I had played a regular steel shaft in the past but the Pro Tim at the Madison location was wonderful and suggested that I needed a stiff shaft to improve my swing. I gave them a shot and couldn't be happier I saw immense improvement in my ball flight on the simulator in store. I liked the design and overall performance and ease of contact with the ball. I can only hope the weather turns around soon so I can go out and give them a real test. January 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Very nice clubs Only got to the driving range for a little bit but they are great clubs so far January 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great product These are easy to hit and very forgiving. The irons have added 10 yards to my distance. September 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby THESE IRONS ARE EVERYTHING THEY CLAIM TO BE AND MORE I have been playing golf for 30 years and have never played with anything with the Callaway brand. I have for most of those 30 years played with TaylorMade everything. I bought this set on 8/23/2015. Went to the driving range with them once before I played a round with them. I didn't see the 20 to 30 yards difference that others claim they got. I did however see a consistent 15 yards plus throughout the set. The ball flight was incredible and on line. I never felt the club hit the ball but I did feel it and it was as solid as I have ever hit any irons. August 27, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5áby Good Clubs These clubs feel great, possibly a little heavy for some players. For those that like to know they are swinging a club it's great. Only the worst mis-hits go offline. Good feed back at the ball strike. July 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Like the control and consistency Ping g15 were good clubs, but I became frustrated with the weight of the club head and the lack of distance consistency and control when hitting the higher loft clubs. I have been very pleased with the Callaway x2 irons so far. I like the smaller club head and lighter weight. I have also found I have much more consistent distance, control and feel than I had with the Pings. They are forgiving, but not to the point they take the fun out of playing golf. Good upgrade for any golfer who has found their max forgiveness clubs have become boring to play July 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby X2 Hot Really like these Callaway iron - They are HOT!!! Perfect weight for me and I like the way they look as I line them up to the ball. Hit several clubs in the store, some more expensive and some less. These flew farther based on the screen results. Took 'em out onto the course the next day and was very pleased. So much so I even told my wife how much I liked them as he was with me when I tried them out in store! July 8, 2015
