Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW!!! I was hitting a set of old Tommy Armors forever it seems because I thought ," How good could the golf technology get." Well I`m almost 57 yrs old and I`m hitting a 5 iron 200 yards, 8 iron 160yards, and so on. Well these X2 Hot irons ARE NOT lying about the explosive distance you get. I have never hit the ball this far. I am extremely pleased with my purchase, Thanks Callaway and Thanks to Dick`s for the great price I bought them for. July 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent club. Callaway knocked it out of the park with this one. Improved distance and accuracy. Been having my eye on these for awhile, just wished I bought them sooner. June 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice clubs Play about four rounds with them still dialing them in mishits go about the same distance as good hits . Irons have the same distance as my x20 maybe a little more May 11, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by I like the feel and look of the irons Only played with the irons a couple of times since purchasing them. I seem to have gained about a half iron more in distance. I like the feel of them. May 3, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by so far so good 2 weeks in and 4 golf outings with the new set. I am pleased with the X2 Hot irons with steel regular shaft. My accuracy has improved and most shot are hit reasonably well. I am still working on the shot distance side as I'm coming up a little short on most of my approach shots. I am trying to go up a club and choke the grip down a bit to find the right distance. With time and work I believe that the clubs will improve my game. April 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Maybe it was time to upgrade. I replace my Mizuno MX9 irons and 16 degree tight lies with this set plus two x2hot hybrids (3 and 4). It is amazing to me either how much better I hit with these or how much better the club design is. Really. I am not really good, hitting in the 100's, but honestly since the first time out with these my high round has been mid to high 90's with a low round of 85. For me, that is simply amazing. Rated 4 out of 5 by A great new experience Enjoyed my upgraded clubs...definitely worth the buy. April 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by As advertised I've been to the range a dozen times and played a round with these. The distance is as advertised - hot off the face with a big sweet spot. Even shots off the toe have a chance. The only trouble was around the greens. If you're like me and chip-and-run to uphill hole locations with your lower-lofted irons (say 7i or 8i) they are VERY sensitive! Once you get used to it though, no problem. I seem to hit much fewer thin shots with these, which has been a huge boost to my game. One other thing - these clubs feel pretty heavy to me, which I actually like. I feel more in control of the club head. Great game improvement irons that should last me a long time. I'm very happy with their forgiveness, quality, and good traditional looks. April 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Really impressed with these irons! My previous set of irons was a set of 2002 Big Bertha irons which I loved, but it was time to upgrade. I really love the feel of these while hitting them at Dick's. I was really aware of where I was hitting the ball on the club without even looking at the impact tape. When I took them to the range for the first time, I was amazed at the ball flight and distance I was getting out of these irons! I normally hit my pitching wedge about 110-120 yards and was hitting this one 130 -135 yards! I highly recommend these irons if you like Callaway products and are looking to upgrade your irons! Rated 4 out of 5 by Hot is right My spring/fall/set . . Hogan blades, 5 iron 135-145. Winter set TM-R7s 5 iron 140 -150. Callaway 5 iron 160 plus .... Hmm,,,, checked my loft. Hogan , 30 dg. R7 26 dg. Callaway 22dg ! That loft is 3 iron territory on older clubs. But the shorter shafts mean a little more control. And the balance of these latest Xs is pretty darn good. Feel for a cast cavity back is exceptional. And the ''Hot Clubface '' does put the advertised pop on your ball. I can hit high ,low, draw and fade with these irons. Not bad. My only gripe. Pitching from 50 yards on in. Due to that same hot poppin face I have real trouble with distance control, and run out. So I switched out the a - wedge and p-wedge for a 52dg Hogan and a 48 dg Cleveland after a thorough search of the gear in my garage. Problem solved. It's a shame to. Because through this whole set [ based on club loft ] I can hit these higher in the air than anything else I have in the club barrel in the garage. Newbies to the sport should really check these out. With this set and a lesson or two you'll be on your way. Mid handicapper's will love em. Skilled players will be surprised a cast cavity back performs/feels this good. And the now lowered price , what a steal. January 17, 2016
